Nothing to do with the motive power. It depends on the suspension and tyres.

Actually, this is something I mentioned back in 2020 or 2021 I think, after I downloaded the extra power on the Tesla 3, taking it to about 370kW/500bhp. At first when I was 'playing' with some point and squirt driving, Wifey asked me to 'knock it off!'

We worked out that it was the lack of cues that was annoying her. If for instance you were in an ICE and decided to accelerate very hard, you might drop the clutch, come out of gear, give it a rev, back into a lower gear, and push the revs up. Lots of visual clues with feet moving quite a bit, and hand/gear changes, plus the engine noise, and the slower power delivery (with a peak as max torque is reached in each gear).

But with the Tesla, I could 'squirt' with just a tiny flex of the toes, which 'long suffering' Wifey wouldn't see, nor get any warning of beforehand.

Motion sickness is typically when the inner ear information on movement doesn't appear to match that of the eyes. A rear seat passenger may be reading or staring at a headrest, which relative to them isn't moving, thus throwing up a conflict.

Maybe Dodge are on to something with their 126dB air chamber noise makers for the Charger!   :#

Wifey complains that it makes her feel sick when I stop her changing my choice of audio by flexing my right foot!

Mart had previously posted the results of the WhatCar? winter range test but today WhatCar? have gone a step further suggesting the WLTP testing regime for EVs should be scrapped.

Scrap ‘unfair’ WLTP system for testing range of EVs, says What Car?

Editor Steve Huntingford warned that the testing regime manufacturers have to put their vehicles through is ‘completely unrepresentative of real-world conditions’.

The magazine said official analysis under the worldwide harmonised light vehicles test procedure (WLTP) takes place in labs with an ambient temperature of 23C, with each model undergoing an ‘unrealistically gentle acceleration’ to record what distance they can cover before a battery with 100% charge goes flat.

Huntingford said: ‘Official testing of electric car ranges is completely unrepresentative of real-world conditions, potentially leaving drivers disappointed and with insufficient mileage.

‘It is clear that the results obtained using WLTP methods are unsuitable.

‘We need a new system that provides achievable summer and winter figures so that prospective EV buyers can be confident the car they’re looking at will suit their needs.

‘Providing a single, overly optimistic figure doesn’t help anyone.’

Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)

I've always argued that the WLTP (or any other such cycle) is flawed. I'd even go as far as saying that the GOM displaying a single 'range' figure is misleading. EV Database does a reasonable job of giving the min/max but the nuance is hard to explain to your average man-in-the-street.

Many non-EV owners ask 'how far does it go' and 'how long does it take to charge' and most don't respond particularly well to 'it depends' and 'it doesn't matter because I'm either asleep or busy doing something else'. In the real world I've achieved anything from 60% to 120% of the WLTP range (125-250 miles) in my MG5.

I really don’t understand why people would click on such obvious clickbait.

I had to stop watching as soon as I realised it was 25 minute long video.
One assumes this individual who can afford a Porsche EV has a reasonable level employment demands and surprised they have the time to make long videos no-one has the time to watch.
    Is there a 10-second summary?

I suspect the garishly coloured words shouting out of the screen is the 10 seconds summary. I guess his car is now worth less than he paid for it (surprise!) and possibly less than he still owes on finance.
