Can this really be true?
However, an RAC review of the Zapmap data found there is currently an average of just over three (3.4) rapid or ultra-rapid chargers at motorway services, and six motorway services in England – Leicester Forest on both sides of the M1, Tebay South on the M6, Carlisle Northbound on the M1, Strensham Southbound on the M5 and Barton Park on the A1(M) – don’t have any high-powered chargers.

Fleet southbound does not have any EV charge points of any kind.0

The southbound ones are currently being installed "coming Autumn 2023".
I note the link you posted says they are there now, but the sign at the chargers read as above when I was there 5th May. Unless they opened quicker than the sign suggested.0 -
I was on the south bound was sure some were in use and another load were covered up but if you have been there recently it may be because of the change as they were 2 different types.

Thanks. Looks like there are chargers there after all
Maybe there are two lots and I only noticed the new / future ones but missed others that may already have been in service.

Disappointing news.
Almost a quarter of the workforce at Grimsby firm Myenergi face redundancy after sales slowdown
Grimsby’s flagship green tech start-up, Myenergi, looks set to significantly cut back its workforce after the brakes were put on five years of phenomenal growth.
It is understood that around 100 jobs - almost a quarter of the workforce - could be made redundant as the cost of living crisis is blamed for a slowdown in sales.
A spokesperson for Myenergi said: “Myenergi has experienced unrivalled levels of growth in one of the world’s fastest growing sectors, and has always aimed to scale its resources and teams to meet the needs of the market. However, challenges arising from the macro-economic environment, including the cost of living crisis; as well as lower than expected growth in our largest electric vehicle charge point markets - due to the removal of consumer incentives - means that growth is not forecast to be as high as expected.
“While overall demand for our products remains high, the level of recruitment undertaken to deliver a backlog in orders now appears to be too high relative to current demand, and we are having to adjust the scale of our resourcing accordingly.

For my part, I visited two charging destinations today.
Destination 1 - motorway services:- 16 Tesla chargers of which 5 were in use. Located remote from facilities
- 4 non-Tesla chargers of which 4 were in use on arrival. Close to the facilities. Of interesting note (to me anyway) was that on departure there were still 2 in use, but someone had unhelpfully parked and plugged in their MG5 such that they were taking up two parking spaces...
- 16 chargers of which 5 were in use and 1 ICE'd
Stop 1 - lunch- 2 charge points near buildings, 1 ICE'd, 1 available.
- 6 charge points away from buildings, 5 in use on arrival, 2 in use by departure.
- 15 Tesla superchargers, 6 in use.
- 5 charge points near buildings, all out of service
- 12 charge points away from buildings, 11 in use
- 16 Tesla superchargers, 6 in use
- 2 charge points, both in use on arrival. Neither in use, but 1 ICE'd on departure
- 16 Tesla chargers, of which 6 were in use.
- 4 non-Tesla chargers, of which 1 was in use.
These random spot-checks I have all-bar-one shown a Tesla or non-Tesla driver would be able to turn up and plug in (assuming all the available spaces are actually in service).
Far better than I expected from the horror stories in the press.
There still seems to need to be an increase in network to support future EV-growth.
None of my spot-check have been peak days.

The first two aren’t a surprise but the third one is. Is it about ubiquity rather than desirability?
These are the UK’s ten most searched for electric cars
