    What?

    A spokesperson for Armtrac Security Services said: "Upon further investigation regarding this matter, the incorrect payment instructions were left on the machine when it was installed recently at Mayon Green for which we can only apologise.

    "The machines don’t belong to Armtrac Security and after a conversation with the landowner, the details have now been removed from the machine. They also send their apologies.

    "This was an honest mistake made by the landowner and wasn’t intentional. All the other signage at the site has been updated to reflect the change and states that the full and correct vehicle registration number needs to be entered when making payment."


    Surely that won't fix the problem, they need to change the signs - or change the actual machine.

    As you say, if the machines won't physically allow the whole VRM to be entered, then the PPC's signs are displaying contract terms that are void for impossibility.
    It is the PPC's signs that are the problem, not the landowner's machines. I wonder how the landowner feels about this misinformation and attack on their reputation.

    This needs following up with a correction/warning to all the media outlets contacted so far.

    Is anyone able to take a video whilst trying to enter a VRM (or any other numbers and letters for that matter) to prove that the machine will not accept anything other than three digits?
    This will prove that the PPC is lying.
