Morning all
Going into the office yesterday was a mistake, I felt dreadful when I got home. I am taking it very easy today, might do a little WFH if I feel like it and if work dont like it it's tough, I am very rarely ill.
Hoping that a quiet day today helps me to kick this out of my system. I will probably be bored and grumpy though.
Have a good Wednesday all x9 -
Girls dropped off at school.. OH making a cuppa and heading off to the gym I will find useful things to do in peace.. maybe a shower.

My bottom has glued itself to my chair!! AF made an appearance 2 weeks early so I think I might actually be going to die. My hayfever is bad and my ankle hurts..
I have a room full of snoozing cats so I can't even vacuum!!
I may have to go S&S the world.

Morning all.
Hope you feel better after another day of rest, YL.
Glad to hear that Squeak made it back to school for the second day - better than my BiL did at age 5: he thought his first day at school was a one-off visit!
Well done pigpen on the flingage - it's amazing what we can get done when we don't have other people getting in our way.
I snapped at DH yesterday for not doing regular jobs that I consider to be his responsibility, like cleaning the ensuite and clearing the rubbish off his bedside table, and then sitting back and expecting me to do everything when he invites his friends round for a meal, so he then got on with his bit of flying (though with a bad grace), and between us we managed to clean almost all through the house - not perfect, not a deep clean, but much better than before. The food was ready to serve at 6.00 and the guests were expected any time from 5.30 but didn't arrive until 6.20. Fortunately the veg suffered only slightly from waiting, and the meat and gravy straight out of the SC covered a multitude of sins. The Jubilee trifle was very well received, but I'd certainly cut a few corners if I ever made it again. There was a dearth of lemon jellies in the shops when I was looking for one, so I had to make it the fiddly way.
To do today:
- write a reference
- transfer some money
- send at least two emails
- write and post a card
- pay J (the gardener) who is coming at 1.00
- listen in (with his permission!) on DH's phonecall from the physio
After a very misty start it is now sunny and warm here. I might also do a load or two of washing to hang out after J has mowed the lawn.
Hope everyone has a good, or at least better, day xx7 -
Iona.. My sister thought she only had to do one day too.. Lord knows wherer she thought I went every day lol.
DW actually switched on now.. I had loaded it all and forgot to turn it n.. I am doing that with alarming regularity nowadays.
OH home so he is making a cuppa, moppingthe kitchen and going for a shower.. I may insist he S&S's the bathroom while he is in it.. he won't die I'm sure.. and if he is mopping he may as well do the loo too right???
That's him occupied for a couple of hours.

Good work Pigpen my appliances need pulling out too x
Have sat in the sun and read, updated finance spreadsheets because I was getting fidgety, and read my book some more. DH has gone to work for a bit.
Back to reading. Might have a look at a pole loop on the camper awning that needs restitching, if I can be bothered.9
