That sign means nothing. One would assume the PCN would be £5 ?nigelbb said:Johnersh said:Jeez, you'd think he'd just delivered some legal miracle. To be fair he was intending to issue proceedings pre-emptively to obtain a court declaration that, in effect, debarred them from suing him on the grounds that the ppc had no lawful claim. That is fairly novel. Its a rarely used power: a rocking-horse-poo type claim. I've never issued proceedings on that basis.
By definition, this would have involved the court determining that £100 for a late payment of 24hrs was an unfair penalty and offends consumer law). Those are all live issues in the correct case, Beavis is not the panacea that the ppcs like to suggest. A point that Ed Levey KC made to them.
The signs are so obviously unfair terms as they mention a PCN being issued for non-payment of the £5 drop-off charge but don't mention that the penalty is £80.

The sign mentions a charge for parking (parking charge notice) if the vehicle has not parked , and lets not forget that loading/unloading is not parking then no charge can be due as the vehicle has not parked. From the Plain Language Commission:

I don't know what you are basing that figure on I have a Mini and a Hyundai Ix35 one is OK the other isn't one is petrol one is diesel I suggest that is more the reason.Mouse007 said:To be honest most cars under 20 years old should be ULEZ exempt. Very few dirty cars are going to be caught by this, what’s the problem?"Most diesel cars registered before September 2015 and most vans registered before September 2016 are subject to the ULEZ charge.
Most cars with petrol engines registered before 2001 are liable, together with some vehicles registered between 2001 and 2005.
The ULEZ must also be paid by lorries and buses registered before 2014."
Diesel cars older than 17 years and petrol cars older than 21 years

DM have got the bit between their teeth. This will not look good for their claims that the new charges are not viable.

0870 number on one of Creative's signs. That's another money spinner on top of the £170.00 cost of an overstay at Aldi. What are Aldi thinking of ?Snakes_Belly said:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html

I'm going to keep quiet about my day job
But having been stuck in traffic behind diesel cars delight in the idea they should all be banned full stop. Dirty dirty horrid things, I don't care if they were born yesterday - there is no justification for that tractor sounding smell.BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”
