@Coupon-mad Probably the best way to get the government to listen is tell them that President Zelensky got hit by one of these PPCs - Starmer would get out of his seat and issue orders so fast, all you'd see of him is motion blur.

Residents contacted Councillor Sean Dillow following the sudden introduction of Civil Enforcement parking restrictions at the KFC Basingstoke Leisure Park over the bank holiday weekend. The Council (BDBC) confirmed that KFC did not inform them of its intention to install the ANPR cameras or introduce parking restrictions in its car park.
The council, which acts as landlord of the Leisure Park and leases the land to KFC, is now "looking into this".
To justify the parking changes KFC churned out the usual parking industry spiel "to help make sure spaces stay available for our fried chicken fans."

User feedback and POPLA replies on Trustpilot for the same period paints a strikingly different picture to what POPLA say in Sky news article.
As do accounts reported on this forum (Popla Decision thread) and other parking forums/action groups.

Some recent examples where evidence of tariff payment was provided yet Popla still refused the appeal.
Of course POPLA states "Parking operators are experienced at sending notices to keepers and, generally, notices tend to contain accurate information and are sent within relevant deadlines" whereas "appeals contain misinformation". Sounds a bit biased to me.

Charities looking to raise much-needed money at a Derby shopping centre have been hit by a double whammy of an £80 charge for collecting spare change and fines for people parking briefly to drop off donations.
Allestree ward councillor Steve Hassall has been bombarded with complaints from charities and residents about the situation, which has seen very few charity collectors in the M Park Farm Shopping Centre recently and also seen charity shop donations of goods drop by up to 90%.
He has spent the past few weeks trying to discover why charities wanting to collect in the centre must pay an upfront £80 and why dozens of fines have suddenly been handed out to unsuspecting people who are used to stopping to drop off items.
Even bin men collecting rubbish have been handed fines, with varying degrees of success appealing the penalty charge notices.
Mr Hassall said: "The parking fines they have introduced - via a third party enforcement company, UKPC - are on waiting restrictions on the loading area in the centre of Park Farm, at the side of the library.
"This is where people typically stop to unload items for charity shops, but have been slapped with a £60 fine in one case for stopping for 1 minute and 40 seconds.

ParkingEye ripping off a disabled patient who'd just had shocking news from a new consultant about her condition.
Luckily, her husband refused to pay £20 and says "good luck to them" in pursuing a keying error case in small claims because they won't likely get that past most judges.
Sadly, he wasted time trying a mitigating circumstances appeal at POPLA.
Someone from the app firm JustPark came on at the end to spout crap about the sector "having listened". Bowlocks.
