I noticed this week that Mark's Simply Food is setting up on a retail park outside the city centre. They were originally in the Three Spires shopping centre that was serviced by the notorious Excel car parks.
Too be fair I think that the fall out was over the lease but I bet they are glad that they have moved out to a site which has better parking for their customers.
Do you think Captain Clampit (EXCEL) pays a bounty to Three Spires shopping centre ???
Can be the only reason they employ the notorious Excel

Saw these two articles about Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
August - the good news:
the P&D machines aren't working at three hospital sites, including Worcestershire Royal, so free parking for everyone will remain for longer than planned:

October - the bad news:
Looks like some bright spark has decided to make up the shortfall by targeting the staff permit car parks with a vengeance:

Not sure if it's SABA there (certainly not ParkingEye at this level of PCN), but the other interesting thing is the charges appear to be £50/£25.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Soooo... who was it that was bleating that £50/£25 isn't a deterrent, eh, PPC World?Look who has just this year signed a new contract at Bawtry, where the ECNs remain unchanged at (wait for it) £50/£25:

OMG, someone tell poor Bawtry Town Council that carmageddon will ensue...think of the high streets!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just following on from the above post; Bawtry Council also published details of the receipts and payments for their parking account: -

In the 6 months from Jan to June 2022 Excel were paid a fixed monthly fee of £877 and an additional variable fee for ECN Management which has averaged around £180 per month.3 -
Good old Tescos, and the lying scum that they are:
Elderly couple who got stuck in gridlocked car park given parking fine
In Short, car park/roads outside gridlocked, driver stuck in car park for over two hours, therefore getting trapped by the ANPR system. This should have been cleared up with a full apology from Tesco, and maybe a token something or other ( £100 gift card?) for the inconvenience/to make the issue go awayBut no, this is how the article endsDavid returned to Tesco the next day and was told they could do nothing about the fine and he’d have to appeal with the parking firm.
He was told the same by Tesco HQ.
He said: ‘I have not had a problem with Tesco before and the problem is not necessarily with the whole of Tesco, it’s with their attitude towards this. I think we will be less likely now to shop at Tesco.’
The parking charge has now been cancelled.
While the parking charge was cancelled, its about time that someone gave these managers at Tesco a real "kicking" so to speak , and whoever signed the contract with the PPC should be stung or face the threat of action under the personal liability part of GDPR

"Labour leader of Wirral Council, said she felt the fines regime imposed by Smart Parking amounted to a “theft” on businesses and residents and that Smart Parking undermined plans to regenerate Liscard."

Now that's a damn good quote. Plus:
" She said the problems Smart Parking has caused have led to two local businesses closing."PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Slough council and developers on track to destroy their high street.
Considering Slough council is bordering on going bust, it looks like they have employed kamikaze pilots

Mc Donald's, Double Dip, and were not talking about the chicken flavour nuggetsAs we all know ANPR is the most accurate system on the planet for recording how long a vehicle is on a particular site, as a result of this fantastically accurate system a Leeds man was caught staying over 14 hours in the car park. The fact that he drove in after work, and then again the next day is just a trivial fact that gets in the way of scamming the motoristLink to the news report:https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/news/leeds-news/leeds-mans-fury-fine-spending-25244806#comments-wrapper
