link LBC listen again, available for 6 days ( i think)requires global player account from the 2 hour markseems to be based on the prospect of councils being allowed to increase the price of council issued fines and the review of price caps, motorists being treated harsher than shoplifters etclots of talk about fines, got the feeling it is going to be confusing council tickets Penalty charge notices - aka PCNs and PPC tickets called parking charge notices which by a sheer co-incidence is also shortened to PCNPiece from motoring "expert" Mike Rutherford from motoring express2hr 20 and we are onto a caller phoning in from no2mob2hr 27 company car driver complaining about deductions from wages2hr 48 onto hospital parking paid for 24hrs, but ticket was only valid upto midnight2hr49 and the motorist who was taken to court by a PPC issued with a CCJ, and overturned it, and got the money backFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Finally the DFT are waking up to the fact that existing rates offer zero deterrant, with it often being cheaper to risk a fine than pay for parking.4 -

Daylight robbery IMHO.Where have we heard those phrases before? 🥱A Ministry for Housing Communities and Local Government spokesperson said the government recognised longstanding concerns about this sector of the housing market.
"We recognise concerns raised by park home residents about the commission fee paid on the sale of homes, which is why we are reviewing this issue and will set out further details in due course," they added.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Finally the DFT are waking up to the fact that existing rates offer zero deterrant, with it often being cheaper to risk a fine than pay for parking.Of course, deterrence had no effect because I attempted to pay (although I did think it was strangely cheap). No problem personally with £50 being the minimum amount for council PCNs.
But then again, they're backed by proper legislation and decent signage. Not like our "knock a sign up in Word and cram as much text in as possible" private friends.5 -
GOOD MORNING BRITAIN Talks to Will Hurley
(ITV 1) TODAY
Hurley wants charges increased
Presenter Richard Madely ran him around in circles/
Hurley was asked .. should people pay ?
After spoting a load of rubbish, HURLEY SAID NO
So IPC members, your boss says DO NOT PAY and go to the appeals service ? We all know the appeals service be it IAS or POPLA is a sham
Another car crash interview for Will Hurley5 -
Not quite what was said. He was asked if people should pay if they feel the charge is unfair etc and the response was not to pay; but follow the appeals process.

But Willy knows he makes cash for every appeals claim he gets. And the parking company doesn't mind paying him because he will always find in their favour.Big fleas have little fleas upon their back to bite ’em...5
