Currently showing on the BBC News site as the most read article (10 most read article list)From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"7 -
An earlier version of that article mentioned that they had approached Excel for a comment but they refused stating that they intend to appeal the decision. Hopefully, if they do appeal, they will lose and we will have some more persuasive case law to rely on.6

Yep. Excel always say they'll appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Finance article on CCJs quite rightly suggesting that lenders should start ignoring parking CCJs:
https://www.ftadviser.com/mortgage-brokers/2025/2/18/parking-fines-wreaking-havoc-with-peoples-credit-say-brokers/“It’s scandalous that your mortgage capability is diminished if you park marginally over a line.”
Yellow Brick Mortgages managing director, Stephen Perkins, suggested what form this regulation reform could take, saying:
“Either CCJs should have a minimum value in order to be lodged or lenders need to start ignoring CCJs under a low-level amount.”
He argued this is necessary as CCJs for things such as parking fines really do not indicate a higher risk of non-payment of a mortgage compared to a CCJ on a credit card."
