Asda to make huge change to car parks at 5 stores that will affect millions of shoppersThe supermarket giant is looking to offload around 10 acres of surplus car parking space and nearby fields across five stores in a bid to raise millions to pay off its debt.Another way Asda could raise income would be to review their set customer parking time limits and the drive away customer pcn enforcement practice from the PP operator they contracted. More customers spending more time in store increases browsing and spending at the checkouts.8

I noticed the story today regarding Morrisons closing cafés. I haven't cross-checked if all the branches being closed have had PPCs engaged, but I certainly wouldn't dwell in a supermarket café if a light meal and coffee came with the hassle of fighting a £100 PCN..

They have a webpage allowing you to dispute a PCN with them rather than the leeches.

I've also found discussing the matter with the store manager brings positive responses and and indication they are able to cancel the PCN. Locally the car park is a Euro Car Park with a 3 hour limit. If local discretion is granted the manager would not make a customer dissatisfied.

A year on from the BBC's story about motorists being fined for paying for the "wrong" car park at a Long Buckby railway station, people are still being caught out.The station has two car parks run by two different firms (why?) Saba with 29 spaces, Total Parking Solutions with more than 200 spaces.TPS told Daventry MP that additional signage had been installed in its car park to make the position clearer and anyone who paid the wrong operator by mistake was offered a £20 reduced charge.A truthful statement on the signage but looks like TPS lied to the MP about offering the reduced charge. The two motorists in the article weren't offered the £20 reduced charge, one even offered to pay £20 but TPS rejected it. Appeals were also rejected. Greedy TPS wanted and continued to chase the motorists for £100 payments.MP intervention did bring a successful outcome for one of the motorists his pcn charges were cancelled by TPS........."as a gesture of goodwill" 🤥5

A car park in Stapleford has come under fire from residents and a local councillor after multiple complaints stating that those who have briefly entered the car park received a pcn.The operator UKPS has previously been criticised for the same situation say people do not receive a pcn for merely performing a U-Turn. This is typically someone’s excuse for not accepting liability for parking without authorisation."Each parking charge is investigated by a CCTV operative before it is issued. The parking charge will only be issued if the occupants of the vehicle appear to be using the car park for something unauthorised."2
