There are some very angry consumer-supporting stakeholders up in arms about this confusing rubbish and I doubt the DLUHC are impressed with this latest game.
I predict it will come back to bite the industry. Talk about smoke & mirrors. Makes them look particularly tin-pot.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I share your prediction, think both ATAs have just shot themselves in the foot. I hope the DLUHC are so livid with them they look again at their suitability for a regulatory role.3

Maybe I'll set up a rival APA with a proper Code of Practice based entirely on the DLUHC one. Healthy competition.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The BPA has gone against the will of government who want to clean up the parking industry
Surely now, government can see that the BPA is not fit for purpose and joining hands with the IPC which as everyone knows is just a scam set-up
Only ONE code of practice IS ACCEPTABLE AND THIS BPA RUBBISH which is not a law must be ignored as it's pure cloud dreaming.
No doubt the money scammers who now run the BPA dreamed this up2 -
No doubt the money scammers who now run the BPA dreamed this upI'm sure little Willy's hand is all over this too. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Whatever2023 said:It is a single Code of Practice that both ATA’s have worked on together.
I'm sure many of us surprised by the ATAs action will echo what the RAC head of policy Simon Williams said:“We’re flabbergasted that the BPA and IPC have suddenly announced plans to introduce their own ‘private parking code’ after doing all they can over the last five years to prevent the official Government Code created by an Act of Parliament coming into forceSurprisingly in their new code they didn't increase PCN cost to £120. I guess that kills their increase cost argument they put to DLUHC or was this another attempt to "paint themselves as being whiter than white."
“For the private parking industry to all of a sudden paint themselves as being whiter than white with their own ‘code’ and appeals charter takes irony to another level.”5 -
I know that a large percentage of people are in this group because they failed to read something (signage), but why not change the habit and reserve judgment until you have read it (I’ve not seen it BTW).0

Thanks for that article by the RAC.
I guess by now the DLUHC know about this BPA / IPC RUBBISH
The blame must lay with the two so called CEO's of the BPA /IPC also including the money scamming disciples
The BPA and IPC are well past their sell by date. The DLUHC can scupper such rubbish by introducing the code immediately. We do not need a public consultation because there is enough proof that the parking industry is rotten to the core1 -

Why would anyone want to read a Pseudo code of practice when there is a legal one on it's way ???1
