This is a laugh and a prime site for UKPC
Instead of "driver left site" ....... "driver could not enter site"

You can't park there! Council builds new £51million 850-space 'park and ride' site - which won't be used 'for years' because there's no road in

This can't be the DLUHC Code but it is written to sound like it is.

Reading between the lines I think the two APAs are introducing 'a single Code of Practice' in June.

If I am right, I suspect they are doing this in the hope that the Government fails to get the statutory Code through and that a new Government will be fooled into adopting their watered down version.

That's as I read it. Devious!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • It is a single Code of Practice that both ATA’s have worked on together.

This is exactly what they are trying to do and also probably killing POPLA and IAS and replacing with a new IAS based appeal service.  All while pretending it's "good for the compliant motorist".

There is only one code of practice and whilst it was halted, it was placed into law by the Queen.
Any code from the BPA and IPC WILL BE UNREGULATED  just as it is now
If the Dept of Levelling Up are not careful, this will become another shambles like POFA2012 whereby government were misled by the  BPA.

This is the latest BPA newsletter....... another complete shambles which fails to mention actual charges or debt collection ..... wonder why ??
NOTE THE COMMENTS BY PESTER ??  What is the man talking about

We do not need two ATA's as much as we don't need two codes

Private parking firms accused of ‘confusing drivers’ over new code of practice
A spokesperson for the DLUHC, which ran a new call for evidence on its code last year, said: “We are pleased to see the industry has recognised the unfairness of the current private parking system and the need for change by introducing this single industry code.

“Whilst this is a positive step forward, it is only through the introduction of our private parking code of practice that we will strengthen the existing system of regulation.”
