Yet again Island Green Wrexham car park warrants yet another damning article about Euro Car Parks:

    https://www.leaderlive.co.uk/news/23830797.wrexham-readers-thoughts-island-green-car-park-issues/

    Same theme.  People aren't returning:

"We recently shared the experiences of Anna Dempsey who received a fine for parking without a 'properly printed' ticket.

Since then, several other readers have been in touch with the Leader to tell us what they think of the situation and share their experiences.

Here is what some of them had to say ...

    Dawn Taylor said:

"Never been back and never will after wrongly getting a ticket".

    Philip Griffiths said:

"It will be a car park surrounded by empty units soon. Yet another poor council decision some years ago being exploited by a car park company who just want to make money."

    John Vaughan said:

"Places like this are killing the town. Parking should be free because there's not much there."

    Sarah Jane wrote:

"Don’t get me started on private parking companies… they are my pet hate. Their demands for payment are predatory and can have a negative impact on the mental health of people who receive them, especially in a cost of living crisis."

    Avril Smith:

"How will Wrexham ever pick up when these companies continue to operate there? So many boycott the carpark due to unfair parking tickets and the shops suffer.  This has been going on for years. How can they continue to get away with giving out fines due to their faulty machines."

    Mandy Williams said:

"Use to love to shop at Island Green, but I never go now I use the Range if I want anything from Iceland and everything else I’ll go to Broughton for."

    Jon Wales said:

"Same happened to us. Bought ticket, got fined, sent in proof to parking company, not interested and rejected our appeal. Won’t be paying it."

    Kay Burns told us:

"Never been back there after wrongly given a ticket so yet another customer lost, soon they won't have any customers left."

That's parking management, BPA AOS stylee.

Morrisons also need to kick ParkingEye out as this treatment of disabled shoppers breaches the Equality Act 2010:

    https://www.chesterstandard.co.uk/news/23860169.chester-elderly-shopper-fuming-parking-fine-morrisons/

Come on, she's disabled and 92 years old.  You know her numberplate.

Add it to the white list ParkingEye.

WHY SHOULD SHE HAVE TO BEG TO BE EXEMPTED WHEN SHOPPING?

The BPA must be so proud.

Psst, @ Coupon-mad, it's ECP, not PE. Your comments equally apply to ECP!
The car park is managed by Euro Car Parks
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

And it's Euro Car Parks again here:

    https://www.islingtongazette.co.uk/news/23861426.shopper-hits-sainsburys-angel-parking-changes/

An hour is VERY short for a Sainsburys shop:

"Jennie Loveday said that she was worried that many customers of the Sainsbury’s in Angel would now be fined if they do not complete their shop within a hour.

The store in Liverpool Road previously allowed cars to park for two hours, but has since slashed the time by half, removing physical barriers to filter cars in favour of a camera-enforced system.

A sign outside the car park, managed by Euro Car Parks, warns that those who do not return to their cars within an hour risk incurring a fine of £100.

    Jennie said:

“I know of many elderly and disabled people that quite frankly cannot get in and out of there in an hour. It’s completely unreasonable.”

Euro Car Parks did not respond to a request for comment, reportedly.

    Classy.

The BPA must be so proud.

  • Claimant  -  Capital Car Park Control Limited v a tenant

"We are proud to announce that the Court agreed with the Defendant's arguments. It determined that there was no course of action against our client as a tenant, as their tenancy agreement was not amended to reflect the terms and conditions of the car park. Additionally, the Court found that the particulars of the claim did not comply with CPR 16.4(1)(e) and Practice Direction 16.7.5. Recognising the breach of rules, the Court struck out the entire claim and granted summary judgment in favour of our client. Furthermore, CCPC has been ordered to pay our client's costs, totalling £2706.28."
    £2706.28 ..... That's a lot of money
Capital Car Park Control Limited that's a lot of new parking tickets to issue ? ..... but not where residebts should enjoy a peaceful life

A warning to all money scammers who attack residents

Maybe we should do that more but presumably it involves an application and risks costs the other way...

Yes but that's what he uses the legal firm( for which he is a solicitors agent ) for as they can claim costs in a way we can't.
    It's a nice little earner....

I like their style in that respect.

What I don't like is the unprofessional "look at me" wording in the blogs talking about 'the esteemed Mr Yamba' and how astonishingly brilliant he is every second word.

Reminds me of a certain narc.  You know the one. Always thought he was the cleverest person in the room when he clearly was not.
