Pontypridd man awarded £200 after being harassed by New Generation Parking 5 years after PCN issued
.... shame the article did not say who the idiot legal was.
DCB Legal are mentioned in the article....
Other than a reminder notice in March 2018, Mr Goffart said he didn’t receive any further correspondence from New Generation until May this year, when DCB Legal wrote to Mr Goffart on behalf of the parking company...

Ah, missed that but I did skim read it.

No need for DCBL to admit the deed, it's in print

    Take a bow, Smart Parking.

The BPA must be so proud.

That's how to drive people away from High Streets.

Dyslexic driver ripped off and frightened into paying £170 by Excel Parking Services Ltd for putting his VRM in the wrong box when using an app, which SRS' greedy firm knew, but still decided to reply to his appeal by blaming and rinsing him (adding £70 on top):

    https://www.cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-news/dyslexic-man-furious-100-parking-8764268.amp

"Ally has since paid the fine, which he said increased to £170 after his appeal was rejected, as he did not want the parking company to take further action against him. However, he has described the situation as “appalling” and “unfair” for what he said was a simple mistake.

“I reluctantly paid the £170 because I felt I had no other choice and I didn’t want to be dragged through the process of going through legal action if I didn’t,” Ally told CornwallLive.

“I feel that [it was] a small yet simple mistake to make, especially for someone like myself who suffers from dyslexia and dyscalculia.  I’m not good with numbers and those apps aren’t very dyslexia friendly because they aren’t on a yellow background.

It’s an easy mistake and not one I make very often but to me, the most important thing is that all the information they needed was there, it was just in the wrong boxes.”

He added: “I find it appalling that they are allowed to treat people this way. I paid the fine but I’m not going to pay it quietly."

Rishi Sunak to unveil pro-motorist measures curbing councils' powers to impose 20mph speed limits and levy fines from traffic cameras

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12572793/Rishi-Sunak-unveil-pro-motorist-measures.html

The 20mph story broke only a couple of weeks ago and Sunak is on it already ???

Motorists around the UK have been waiting years for government to cull the private parking scam yet we are still at consultation stage and as eggs are eggs, their will be a consultation on the consultation and so on.

The great private parking scam is far bigger than the 20mph lark
Sunak should stop being weak and start to become a leader

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It does (just about) mention Roxburghe...
During his first period as a BPA Board Director Gary worked with the Operational Services Board to launch the first Approved Operator Scheme Code of Practice (CoP) in 2007, Roxburghe became one of the founder members of the scheme.
