Here are some more robust victims refusing to pay utter rip-off PCNs issued at their own home (houses at Gordon Rd, Chesham) by notorious ex-clampers, PCM:

"We don’t make any money from the permits or the fines...."
Really!  And they are not FINES!

Managed to get a quick skim read of the article, before this popped up:

it mentioned something about the residents being consulted followed by something that seems suspiciously PPC industry written about residents struggling to find spaces.

Why do all these management companies/supermarkets etc seem to spout the same lines when confronted about the excesses of a PPC? Could it be a standard set of responses issued by the PPCs /BPA/IPC etc for landowners to use when presented with difficult questions to fob off the media?
And as for the consultation - did this really take place in accordance with the landlord and tenant act? - or again is it some half baked measure or statement to try and make the scheme seem justified?

It would help if this resident would post on here .
If no proper consultation took place then it should be an un authorised access and processing of personal data by  the managemetn company ( as they are jointly and severally liable for the actions of their agents)

"Further complaints have been made about a parking firm's alleged "bully boy, cash cow" tactics by visitors to a Suffolk seaside car park hit with a £100 fine."

NPM and ONE PARKING SOLUTION LTD are both named and shamed for allegedly colluding to use OPS' own reportedly unreliable app and ripping off honest paying drivers at a Suffolk destination beauty spot:

"We were advised to pay the £60 penalty charge now, or it would increase to £100 if we went to appeal.  Working as a nurse in the NHS, this is a fine I can ill afford to pay.  As we paid for five hours and only stayed for just under three hours, we wondered how can this be right?

However, having reflected on the situation my wife and I think the request by One Parking Solutions (NPM's handling agents) is manifestly unfair.

He said the queue for the machine was 15 deep, while NPM's Poppay parking app took an hour and 45 minutes to download while they visited attractions, including the town's pier, because of a poor mobile phone signal.

"It is simply morally wrong and unfair having to pay a fine when circumstances beyond our control stopped us from buying a ticket within the enforced stipulated time.

"One Parking Solution should not be allowed to get away with bully boy, cash cow tactics. They need to be named and shamed."

    Well said.

Poppay is OPS' own reportedly unreliable/useless app, which has also let drivers down at Vantage Point Brighton.  How can it be right that notorious "thug" ex-clampers can invent an app themselves that takes well in excess of 10 minutes - in this case, an hour & 45 minutes(!) - to download and use?

Honestly, NPM and OPS, just do one!
PPCs' conduct is a national scandal.

Worth us remembering for NPM cases that NPM are using OPS' own invention, the 'Poppay' app.

And yet again we have ParkingEye cancelling a PCN the minute a newspaper gets involved and points out that there was apparently NO OVERSTAY:

Why issue a PCN then, ParkingEye?

No idea because they've lifted the carpet and swept the dirt under it, BPA-stylee.

We see this statement every time from PE whenever a case of theirs hits the media:

“Parkingeye operates a BPA (British Parking Association) audited appeals process, which motorists can use to appeal their Parking Charge Notice.

"If anyone has mitigating circumstances, we would encourage them to highlight this by appealing."

    Yeah, right, well whoopee-do!

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
