Today is day 3 from the valuation, they said we would hear between 48 and 72 hours...

This waiting feels a lot like a trying to conceive journey I'm not gonna lie 😂😂
😂 I do hope you hear soon...we've got another week or so to hear as ours isn't booked now till next Friday
So frustrating for you guys but at least it's booked!

I really hope ours is all ok, it's so stressful, the unknown!

Took a total of a week between application and mortgage offer being underwritten for us. But they did a desktop valuation which took minutes. Had the written offer a few days later in the post. It was so fast that now the solicitors feel like they are moving super slow!

I hope you get some good news rdchick soon!! I'm sure its fine or you would have heard by now...

We won't hear for another week or more I don't expect....oh well. I can't see much happening with the Solicitors in the next week or two anyway!

I hate waiting 🙃 I also hate not being able to check the status of it myself 😅 I don't want to keep bothering but...

Also the searches were due to be back on the 20th 🤔 not heard anything... Funny how there's radio silence from the solicitors unless you owe them money isn't it?!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

You're more informed than me, I've no idea when ours are due back...to be fair I've not asked yet but will do this week. Like you say they don't tell you anything unless you push them! I would assume it will be a while as we only gave the ok for them 2 weeks ago.

Funnily enough the estate agent just emailed me and the solicitor asking for an update... They instantly get my back up 😂 they're like the playground bully 🤣

It's not looking like it's today though... Broker has also gone silent too 🙃

  • Quick update for you all... We had our valuation and survey today with e surv (arranged through Halifax). The surveyor phoned me this evening at 5pm to confirm there are no issues with the house that's he's concerned about and nothing he can write on the report bar the standard every house risks etc. He also confirmed that he has valued the house at our purchase price! Such a massive relief. He says the report will be written up and shared by the end of the week. Hopefully that means we will get our mortgage offer next week.... So at least you know that when the valuation does happen you should hear back quite quickly ! 🙂

We did an application for further borrowing 01/06, we had the valuation the following week.
Our application is pretty straight forward (so we thought) but we’ve had nothing but minor problems that have held it up.
First we’ve been given a part time mortgage advisor so we only get an update from her when she’s in the business or I have to call and chase it with the call centre.
This evening our update is the processing team have calculated our salary a lot less than our mortgage advisor worked out. I also worked out our salary the same as her, she’s checked with her area manage who also agrees she’s calculated it correctly.
My partner is paid CIS so it’s done on a certain formula. Is it possible that the processing team can make mistakes?
Day 26 and we seem to be no closer to getting our offer!
