October rates are now expected to be 44-45p elec and 14-15p gas.mexicano54 said:I've just got a quote from green energy fixed September 2023:Gas Unit rate 11.75 SC 31.33Electricity Unit rate 40.32 SC 31.14Is this worth taking begore the October increase?
Realistically you shouldn't be using hardly any gas, maybe an hour to heat your hot water and this time of year electricity use is down unless you have Aircon and a hot tub.

I'm worried that maybe Green Energy might go bust too and I'll end up with another useless SVT supplier! Also Green Energy has no exit fees, that's another plus I guess.0 -

Thx... Currently have no exit fee's, as does this one you linked. So for me it's a no brainer if the cap doesn't hit the expected highs, so I can go back to SVR.Mstty said:@Coffeekup @bhavv
Zero exit fees, 15% cheaper in my region for electricity than the expected cap coming October and 20% cheaper on the gas.
With the £400 and a £150 w/home discount it works out at £72 a month.1 -

Thanks too Mstty. It looks like Green Energy will have another new customer

I've got one more question: I had smart meters installed when I was with Together Energy and they work with British Gas when I got switched to them, will these meters work when I switch to Green Energy or will I have to have new meters installed? I might wait until tomorrow and phone them before I switch.

If you plan to do that, keep your fingers crossed they don't pull the deal overnight. It looks pretty good and if I hadn't beaten it slightly just last week with Eon Next (that deal has already pulled) I think I'd be signing up to it myself.mexicano54 said:I've got one more question: I had smart meters installed when I was with Together Energy and they work with British Gas when I got switched to them, will these meters work when I switch to Green Energy or will I have to have new meters installed? Your right. I've just signed up. Anyhow I get 2 weeks cooling off period if I change my mind and also there are no exit fees if I don't like them or I find something better. They've put me on variable direct debit which looks good too.
