Great rates but if you don't mind me asking are you putting a little extra away somewhere else for when those rates finish and the potential massive hike.

Ours is fixed at 29.24p per kWh (our regions price cap for Apr '22) we initially started putting £30 away for April '24 when it ends but have upped this to £50.so we have over £1000 by the time our fix ends to lessen the potential blow.

I don't think it will be a problem for me/us.....My wife and I manage quite well on just my pension (13500)... come Oct my wife will receive a full gov pension. If we can manage now, we certainly will with an extra 10k per year

Not specifically, for three reasons. First, the £400 bill credit is more than my annual usage so that will cover me until about December 2023. Second, I'll be saving until August 2024 simply by avoiding the higher rates until then. And third, I'm fortunate that I'm I'm both a low user and financially able to cover the rise from my current fix to whatever's then available - I tend to think the days of cheap energy are over, so I'll be ready for it when it comes.

It's good but gingertim and jgb got you licked 😜🤣

In all seriousness well done I think that will pay dividends come October but you will have overpaid for gas since taking it out til the October rise so you have to factor that in👍

Still paying 15p/kWh for electric and 4.9p/kWh for gas so it seemed a little daft jumping onto a tariff where it's 10p gas and 30p electric with the massive hikes on SCs. Finishes this October and I'm a little scared!

Struggling to get anywhere near the prices for gas quoted above. EDF's 2 year fix at 11.1p/kwh is starting to look "attractive"    :'(

I've been switching to save for ~ 15 years but looks like I've missed the boat badly this time. In my defence I was "misled" by the infamous BG leccy tariff  "mistake" .
Shouldn't have listened to the siren voice (Martin Lewis!!)  to stay on the SVT earlier in the year ! VERY expensive mistake.
