    The cat is gorgeous!

Elsewhere on these boards someone mentioned their cat is called Ms Marple, which somehow seems a perfect cat name to me, but I don't think it works for yours.

    Minnaloushe?
    Geronimo?
    Sooty?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates my cat tin 🐱!

I'd forgotten about Perks at Work for electronic deals @AntoMac, but I'll definitely keep my beady eyes on it.

I'm aiming to get rid of the car by the new year at the latest. So that I can enter 2024 without that liability and I can have boost to my debt repayment and savings before the year is done.

Happy belated birthday to you and your lovely son 🥳🎂 So pleased to hear the clinic was beneficial. The cat tin is brilliant and if you can’t embarrass your son then you’re not doing your job as a mum properly 🤣

My DS now in his 40s still hasn't always grown out of the need to walk several yards ahead of me, but it makes a full supermarket shop take longer to get out of the checkout than the shop takes.  Today we managed 25 minutes & the checkouts were crazy.

Yeah I think embarassing the kids is a mandatory part of the parental job description. I can visibly see him dying inside sometimes when we're in public and I say or do something that makes him just cringe with embarrassment 🤣.

I don't think he'll ever get out of the need to walk ahead of me, especially as I'm not exactly quick footed. When we popped to Tesco yesterday evening, he was off like a shot as soon as we got in there and then it was like playing hide and seek trying to work out where he was. And he had to checkout separately from me 🙄. I only went for toilet paper and we were in there for 15 minutes because he went walkabouts.

He's been really loving his term time meal allowance for college. I give him £20 a week, based on £5 a day as he's in 4 days a week. He's been quite frugal at times so that he can run off to McDonald's or wherever with his new friends. He's been feeling a bit flushed with his birthday money too, but at his spending rate, it won't last long.

As soon as his exams are over in January 2024 (as he has exams for Business and mock exams for English and Maths), he needs to find himself a job. I told him that he has to save some of his wages when he does get his part time job. My brother in law was telling me about premium bonds and how great they are, and my mum said the same thing, so I'll have to look into that. I don't really understand what a bond is, so I'll have to do some Googling.
