Just did a transfer from Chase and it was instant, guess you've been unlucky!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

I love Santander, it's been my main current account for over a decade now. I rarely ever use the Santander debit card, however, as I prefer to make my purchases with a cashback credit card, so I can't comment on their 2FA implementation. They are great for my DDs and my numerous SOs, I love their RS, and they have paid me thousands over the years in interest, cashback and switch/referral/bonus money. But I am not wedded to them, and if a bank with better offers comes along, I will unashamedly use those offers a best as I can. I have never once yet considered ditching Santander for another bank, even though I do make use of other banks where it makes sense for me.0

I have never once yet considered ditching Santander for another bank, even though I do make use of other banks where it makes sense for me.I used Santander from when they took over Abbey National. They paid good rates and had a branch a short walk from me. (Pre-internet banks). They turned out to be unbelievably bad, with countless mess-ups including a failed CHAPS payment, and were consistently at the bottom of satisfaction tables. I got out and swore never to return.
Then under new CEO António Horta-Osório, they improved and introduce the market leading 123 accounts. I buckled.
Now, once again, they seem to be going back to their old ways.

I have had similar problems with a few banks - especially Santander and Lloyds - don't get me started on Lloyds and their fraud filters.....
The two banks I have never had problems with transferring money are Nationwide and First Direct.0 -
Never had any problems with Lloyds - been with them 30 years+

I've noticed there are far too many staff at these banks working from home, without the correct technology to properly manage and execute efficient banking.
Time they all went back to their office0 -

Time they all went back to their office
And when that happens, the colleague calls back from an office with all the details to hand.
This is a common occurance, with Halifax, Scottish Mutual, Chase, First Direct.
