Afternoon All

Finally got my heating to work last night, after 2hrs of fiddling about with buttons! I was still wearing my coat whilst sat in front of the fire watching Paddy McGuiness on DVD. Took me ages to defrost!

I know my ex has got his letter from the solicitor as he sent an abusive text message in response, he also told DS that he's reporting me to the Social Services as he's concerned if anything is going on in my house, as DS & DD keep arguing! Oh For pitty sake - thats what siblings do! wish he would get a life! Talk about upsetting your kids for no reason!!!!

OH is doing more tiling in the bathroom, he hopes to have it finished today!
Then it'll be an afternoon of watching films I think, before the X factor comes on!

Crazy Chick as soon as he reports you to social services they will laugh at him and tell him that it wouldnt be a normal house if siblings were not arguing and fighting with each other :rotfl: still not a nice thing for him to threaten still if thats the best he can come up with then you are deffinatly doing a good job:T

Still recovering from trip into town to see hygenist, I thought I would make the most of being in town and pick up some vit c tablets and "stuff" for Christmas from poundland and ended up queuing for ages and no vit c tablets so came home shattered.

I have been resting all morning as we are off into London to meet ds's gf's parents for the first time this afternoon and we are all off for a meal at the Amalfi restaurant and then going to see Stephen Frys Cinderella so that should cheer us all up. Will be a quiet day for us tomorrow though!

Wel last night was the infamous Judges Party at w*rk - it's a 3 year cycle for me - year 1 - go, drink, do something stoopid, year 2 - don't go - too shamed from last year, year 3 - go but don't drink. This was supposed to be a year 3 but I did drink and didn't do anything too bad so the curse must be broken ... well not until I got back to dd18's to pick up dd11 anyway. dd sent the friend that dropped me off a text telling her off for dropping me in such a state as I was making her dance to bad music and couldn't make my mind up about staying the night or not. She replied telling her it was a family problem and she couldn't get involved I did go home in the end as it makes today easier if dd11 is home.

We are heading into town in a bit, hangover notwithstanding, to get some xmasy food bits and some sneaky snacks for the Xfactor final. The freezer challenges and lessons learned from here have been working really well and we find ourselves with an extra £100 this month despite buying flights for five for the new year so cheers guys from me and dd

Anyway, I am now posting on my christmas pressie. OH has bought me a new laptop, :eek: :T :eek:

Off in to town soon with mum, although I don't want/need much.

Helloo everyone! quickie from me....

DS is at a birthday party and ive done the ironing. DS1 & girlfriend have gone up London to see the covent garden lights etc which I recommended!
Just got to pick up DS2 from party then head off to MIL's to see DH's aunt who is visiting today -and then hopefully get back in time to see SCD!!!:D

Still havent dont my mincepies yet!!! dont know where the time's going!:eek:

AMIE - nice to see you back, we wondered if you were okay. :T

Well I'm relieved to say I've finally got all my cards written that need posting, and only one of those hasn't actually been posted yet - it takes ages when a lot of them have to have little notes written inside, doesn't it? I was a bit late writing them, as DD's baby is due today and we thought it would arrive early so I was hoping to wait until I could tell people what she'd had. However, despite a false alarm on Thursday (she called her DH home from work, then the contractions turned gradually back into normal Braxton-Hicks ones) it's still in there! :rolleyes:

MIL was due to have her op yesterday (on her spinal cord) but my DH got a txt from his Stepfather to say the op had been postponed and that he'd tell us more later. He hasn't been in touch again yet though, so we haven't a clue what's going on

Just going to have a late lunch - there was some M&S (yes I know, but we were feeling rash that day) wafer-thin turkey in the fridge, with a use-by date of the 13th, so will have a turkey sarnie and hope I don't get a tummy upset! Then must try to get rid of some clutter to make room for the christmas tree! DH is worse than me when it comes to disposing of things he doesn't need.

Afternoon all!.
Iv got loads done, Hoovered the car,had another good clear out of old clothes and toys, tidied all the bedrooms and got 4 loads of washing done. Iv baked some macaroons, the kids have now eaten all of them!! First time i have made them so thats another recipie i know the kids and dh like!
We have sorted the dinning room out and have put the xmas tablecloth on and centrepiece and dh had repaired some of the chairs.
All that with xmas music on in every room.
Now off to sort kids out ready for tea at Fil`s, have a lovely evening everyone.

Yes I go in the trading post quite often, they do great cheeses, and their ham joints are really nice, I will get one for Xmas and do it a la nigela in cola.

Well have been walking, went about 8 miles I think, its was ok all the time you were moving, but as soon as you stopped Burrrgh freezing, we came across an old bottle dump, with loads of old victorian type bottles in, I was in heaven as I collect them, bought home as many as I can carry and will go back and get some more another time. They were in the middle of the woods in a crater, and must have been there years, the old 'big' houses often used to have a bottle dump, but its quite rare to find one now.

Keep your chin up and maybe you can focus back on your studies, I know you wouldn't feel like that, but sometimes we need have our minds distracted and those essays certainly do that :eek: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

craychick----my god, he is mad:eek: I am a social worker and what exactly is he going to say to social services??? that teenagers fight?? He is clutching at straws. Send him a text back, saying you will show ss, his abusive text messages, that should soon make him scuttle off!! lol

ds2 is having his friend sleep tonight, we have got a hug fire on and they are laid in front of it playing perfect dark!!! Well, its keeps them quiet and they seem happy enough
