Have a great time on hoilday N9eav.
Hester i know what id be tempted to do with your lodger on xmas day:rolleyes: it must be hard for you, she needs bringing back to reality, if she was ever there in the first place!!!!!;)

Well today i have loads to do, i seem to be more motivated on the weekends when dh is at home, so list is as follows
1-Empty the washing baskets (about 5 loads)
2-Iron enough uniforms for next week and the week after new year.
    3-Hoover upstairs
    4-Deliver some xmas cards.
    5-Start wrapping presents!!!!

Tonight we are off to Fil for tea and to give them their presents as they are off to tenerife for xmas, i am looking forward to it but having 5 kids (have got my step son today) in a very small bungalow can be stressful!!

Tonight we will be settling down for x factor final and then watch home alone!!
    Have a great day everyone

Oh and i cant rembember who asked about my ice cream van protest but it basically is myself and a few parents at school who dont belive he should park smack bang outside school gates every night, that all arrive early at school and park our cars so that he cant get a good spot, then when he goes down the road to turn round we all quickly move the cars about so he cant park again!! We are sad i know:p but we have had alot of giggles from it this summer!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Good morning. I'm another nonsleeper from last night. Hopefully after today I will be too tired to stay awake tonight. I'm getting the slow cooker out to make dinner for tonight, and I have at least two loads of washing and ironing to see to, not to mention a good deal of cleaning.

My christmas cake is finally iced, just mince pies to make next weekend now and I'm nearly ready for christmas.

Hester - tell your lodger what time you are eating and say if she wants to prepare her meal and join you to eat it then she is welcome. There's no need for you to do the extra work.

I hope the day goes well for you all.
  • Morning All

N9eav - have a fantastic time - enjoy your American breakfasts - its one of the things iI really look forward to out there.

Hester - think Cranky has the right idea for your lodger.

Been up a while and the washing machine is already going - probably wont stop all day. Will clean the kitchen in a mo and then start ironing - I want the pile cleared today.

Hopefully OH will take DS footie this morning, I need to take him to his cousins party later then this evening I am taking both kids to my inlaws as they go to a Xmas party everyyear - the kids then stay the night. DS is looking forward to it but DD isnt. It would be nice to think she will go and be lovely but she's at the age where being lovely really doesnt happen. She's not officially a teenage till next July but has been acting like one for years. It does cause a lot of friction in this house so will be nice and peaceful for a while tonight.

Not much else to say, I would really like to start wrapping today but the presents are all round the house so will wait till take the kids to school on monday then get it all out.

Very windy here today but no frost.

Will be having a takeaway from our favourite american style restaurant tonight, we could have gone without kids but at this time of year it will be full of very loud and rowdy Xmas parties, foods still nice though.

    Have a lovely day.

    Morning!
Been up for a while but not done a thing other than make a mess!
Today I need to wrap some pressies and have a hoover through and try and do some ironing (if I can be bothered) I hate ironing.
Oh has gone off to work and left a whirlwind of dirty clothes and wet towels along the way, typical man!!
Going out to dionner with my dad tonight as he goes off on holiday on the 20th so I wont see him til the new year.
I really need to look into doing a Mr T shop for christmas, we don't need too much because I have only got to do christmas day tea and then boxing day mum goes away so it will only be the 2 of us from then on in.
Hope everyone has a good day x

    Good morning everyone,

N9eav, have a lovely holiday (another jealous one here, we would love to go back!!!)

mrs-mix - i also had a bad night (and im feeling it this morning) but its nothing new for me, tend to be used to waking up a lot in the night!!

Penpen - sorry to hear about the cutbacks, hope things will be ok xxx

Aime - glad you are back, and your computer problems are over (hopefully!!!)

((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one xxx

Well, im feeling shattered at the moment, so having a lazy moment now with a surf and a cuppa!!!

DS has football today, but we dont need to meet the team until 12, so no need to rush this morning. They havnt played for a few weeks due to the weather, so hopefully they will do well today. I think it will be cold, so will put an extra pair of socks on and prob an extra jumper - its not the best bit, standing in the cold in a muddy field!!!

Nothing much else planned - will be doing some shopping whilst over the bridge, but only need a few bits, so shouldnt cost too much, will then be getting home for HM pizza - and SCD and the XFactor final - they have done well again today, not clashing the times, hurrah!!! Think i will open the tin of quality street and make some popcorn whilst the final is on (someone said yesterday they dont like roses, prefer quality street and im the same - years ago all i seemed to get for christmas was roses, and after eating so many, i cant stand them now!!!)

Well, think thats about it - if we are back from the football early enough, we will be making marzipan decorations for the christmas cake (which is all marzipaned and iced, just needs the decorating) if you use green and red food colouring, you can make lovely holly!!! The children loved doing that last year (also snowmen out of icing) so now a christmas tradition.

Oh, almost forgot, had a TNT delivery last night - i have won a giant 3foot Baloo bear!!! He is lovely, but a bit big and takes upa lot of room - the children are loving him tho, DD keeps hugging him (he is lovely and soft) and DS keeps rugby tackling him!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning All!
Went mad yesterday, and had my hair highlighted! First time I've ever had it done, and OH loves it! Didn't even mind that it cost £65!!!:rotfl: I did have the works tho, cut, colour, blow dry.. feel great tho!

Going to see Mum and Dad today, to put Dad's office in order. He bought a new computer desk six months ago, and hasn't got around to getting it up. He's still got his laptop on a cardbaord box:eek: OH is going to do the desk, I'll tidy!

DS has his best round today for the weekend, a really nice boy called Dominic, they'll probably be up till 2 or 3 am!

Have a great holiday N9eav, send us a postcard!

    Anyone who's going shopping today...........................GOOD LUCK:rotfl:

    Have a great day!

  • Morning Guys!

Have had a very emotional 24hrs:rolleyes:....feeling really low today. Had some bad news from the hospital yesterday and OH is having his vasectomy today. I feel such a failure as a human being ATM. I only ever seem to post depressive stuff...sorry.

OH has popped to M&S to get some supportive pants and DD is looking after me. She has put the DW on and just about to empty the WM.

N9eav-Have a great holiday and say hello to Mickey and Shamu:D

    Hugs to all.

PENPIN - (((Hugs))) to you for the bad news. Will be thinking of you and hope it can be sorted out. Please don't feel a failure - we all have bad times - post if you want; no-one here will criticise you. We'll support you as best we can. Good luck to OH today.

I'm just waiting for DH to get off the phone to his brother. We have loads of errands to do, then come home and put the tree up, then prep for tonight's stew (well, I'll be doing that), decorate the cake and try and fit in some ironing. As long as I'm all done in time for Strictly tonight, I'll be happy. I have never got in to X-Factor - too much shouting and cruelty to the contestants the last time I watched an episode!

Well, the weather is very cold but I'm being brave and have put on a skirt - the first time in weeks. I've got thick tights on, though - I'm not that brave!

Anyway, going to tell DH that I'll give him 5 more minutes then I'll go out without him!

    See you all later,

    KathyXX
