What do you want to register with a lawyer for?johnB said:I have a 2014 B class, bought in 2016.
Is it worth registering with a lawyer, if so any idea who is best?
Thanks

If you want to register with someone because you own a car, would a mechanic not be a better option?5

I am rather bemused at all the *DieselGate* claims. I drove a diesel for years and never ever bought it based on emmissions, indeed as far as I am aware nobody in this country did as it was never a selling point - economy yes.0

As I posted on another thread recently, there's a company advertising on TV re. diesel claims. They're referencing the £193m VW pay-out as if they had something to do with it.
So it can't be that difficult to find a shyster legal company to pursue a claim for you.

I bought a diesel years ago, primarily because I needed good MPG, though they were being touted as "better for the environment" than petrol cars. Sadly I sold it long before all this malarky began - can I put in a claim for missing out on some free compo?

And they were as they still are. Being better for the environment (ie, spurting out less CO2) is completely different to being harmful to the public (ie, emitting NOx), and as NOx emissions was never a selling point for any diesel car in the UK I still fail to see why everyone who has owned a diesel in the past 10 years are suddenly coming out on some moral high demanding they should get a piece of the pie.Ebe_Scrooge said:I bought a diesel years ago, primarily because I needed good MPG, though they were being touted as "better for the environment" than petrol cars. I have only ever driven diesels in my relatively short driving career. I'm not going to make a claim, I don't see what I have lost. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should, and it isn't cost free. It adds to manufacturer's costs which will mean they will add it to the cost of cars in the future. It ain't free money.2
