So it’s started in the UK the diesel gate payouts -
was anybody in the first wave ? How are the deciding amounts ? Ownership probably getting the higher amounts maybe length of times ?
also loss of resell value ?

Anyway I’m interested to know who is now going to go ahead with claims and who to go with the firms Iv seen are wanting crazy %

How long before we can write directly
i don’t mind a firm taking a cut at all but 40+ % and more is a bit much -

You had a chance to make a claim and take the risk - the funds will be allocated to those who've already claimed hence the mention of a 'per claimant' value.

If you want to claim now you start again and find some like minded people who want to take them to court

It seems unlikely that any new claims can be made now in any event given that there is a six year statute of limitations, and the scandal can't to light in 2015. That certainly seems to be VW's view

Why does everything have to be "gate"?
I'm surprised they didn't call the PM's garden party "garden gate"!

We only realised we could be part of the claim much later as we’d sold our diesel before this all came to light. :(

Nobody cares its all just money grabbing.  Quantify your loss.

It is a very sad world we live in at the moment.

It’s hard to quantify it .
but let’s just say due to the story’s and problems associated to having a VW that’s had the software update at a vw dealership you sold you car for 7 grand that car may have fetched 8,9 or 10 grand without the bad publicity.
this is one of the points never mind driving round killing the planet a little more then you wanted to.
so many reasons lots of people who own these cars will lose a few quid when it comes to selling them onwards .
so if it’s not the owners and somebody else is to blame for this loss then they have a right for to this be rectified.
Also people suffering mechanical problems having had the updates it’s not fair they have to pay for the repairs when not at fault this can run into the £1000s sometimes.

So lots of people have very good reason not to be happy with the very expensive purchase they made unbeknown to them what was going on under the bonnet with trickery and naughtiness

Very sad that people gave bad legal advice here. Anyone who took it will have lost out on getting their rightly deserved compensation.

I wonder if victims could sue them for their bad advice.

Evidence over that past number of years clearly suggests this didn't really happen. Used car sales have remained very buoyant and use VW sales have remained unaffected.
