Thank you for the day off, Natty
My phone diary has been insisting that it is a Bank Holiday today. I had to check to be sure that it wasn't, though I was quietly hoping that we would be getting 3 Bank Hols this week!
Not that it makes any difference to anyone who's on half term.... swindled out of another desperately needed day of rest by The Powers That Be
Today I have
- FUPA clean dry washing
- been back to the opticians about my glasses, which are still definitely not right - unless I lift up my chin, everything is blurred, near or far away
- designed and printed 240 fairly basic invitations to our Parish Jubilee Picnic Lunch
- paid in the church money at the PO
- delivered batches of invitations to two friends to deliver in their areas
- delivered invitations to 75 houses myself, leaving another 85 for me to do tomorrow
- walked Rosie
- cooked / eaten / emptied and re-filled the DW more times than I care to count
- created yet more paperwork to adorn the spare bedwhich I should like to deal with before bedtime, but I'm procrastinating...
- remembered to get meat out of the freezer, to go in the SC tomorrow
- re-written my tatty list yet again
Congratulations, (((hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed xxx
We're off to the forest with my friend and her two DDs tomorrow.9 -
Morning all,
I hope you are all ok. Grey skies here again today. DH has a couple of days off and has gone to the allotment. I suppose that I will have to go and see what he has been up to at some point, plus the fact that I still have all the plants here waiting to be taken up there.Wm is on, bedding is stripped and queuing for its turn. Mount Ironmore is just a bump, so that is a result. Hair washed and tamed.
Mr M is due at lunchtime, I also need to clean the bathrooms and downstairs, where I can write my name in the dust. The ever present admin also calls, and a pack of puff pastry needs to be turned into something for dinner.
Have a good day x8 -
Late and brief appearance from me.
Last weekend was a long 4 day one for us, lovely time DD2 and 3 friends who came and joined her for wakeboarding and other watersports. DD1 joined us for the weekend so I go mother's day with both of them. That house all tidy and clean at the end of the weekend, garden strainght too.
Back here, WM working OT to get bedding from other house done (not so bad as youngsters brought sleeping bags so just a couple of bottom sheets and pillowcases. OH cut grass this morning whilst I taught. Bank meeting this afternoon, OH has haircut this afternoon. Doctors appointment booked for me. Cats trays done. DD1 birthday present sorted.
Leaving again tomorrow for another long weekend with friends over from UK. So the rest of today will be spent finishing the washing and getting at least something packed up to move to the container there. We have a storage container to move everything we want to take there from here. We have 3 months to move what we're keeping and to get rid of the rest. Stuff were keeping will stay in the container until decorating and fitting work done then we will unpack. But first we need to build more kitchen units, wardrobes, and storage shelving. We have set an objective of packing something up and taking it to the container each time we go.
Lunch next
Bigs hugs to all, and enjoy your Jubilee weekend

Hi all
Managed to cycle in to work and back when it was dry, it poured down in between. DH changed our sheets and hung them out, it looks like rain again so I should move off the sofa and bring them in. There is some clean washing to put away.
My neck and shoulder is bothering me, I really should do some yoga.
Tired tonight but anxiety seems to be calming down a little which is good.10 -
YL is has been pouring down here as well.My lovely wild garden poppies has taken a pounding today, however the water butts are full, waste of time cleaning my windows yesterday, as they now need doing again.Walking doneBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

bins out a day early but only because I spotted them out today on the road that mine joins onto. They are collected the day before ours. NDNs weren’t aware either, I’ve texted them.
DW and WM x 1 today. Didn’t get washing out due to inclement weather.Sent out my first email to our subscribers today, am still learning how to use mail chimp. You can, it seems, teach an old dog etc…. Sadly, I found this exciting ROFLBed stripped and remade with brand new bedding for I have been to emmandess outlet. Am also wearing new nightie. Will probably need a couple more for horse piddle actually.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

We survived the outlaws. MIgraine decluttered I hope.neuralgia totally off one one, possibly linked to migraine.
I have parcels to sort tomorrow and the inside of the summerhouse to paint. I am painting it all cream to it looks nice and bright.. and putting up a couple of shelves when I have bought them.
I have figured out I cannot eat at the outlaws even when I have taken food with us because they are painfully food obsessed! I cannot deal with pressure to eat..
