    You only have one childhood.

It's a time when we can love unconditionally, we can laugh without fear, where we're free, where we can believe in pixies and Rumplestiltskin.

Any adult that wants to take that away from a child is beyond any words. We're only children once.

It's a sad fact but in the area where I live if an eleven year old went about believing in Santa the other kids would make his/her life a living hell.
  • I'm 23 and i still get a gift from father xmas which is left at my mum and dads house ;) . With my children they have 1 gift from father christmas and the rest are from the family. We try and teach them that xmas is about taking a break and appreciateing family and that gifts are a way of showing love for each other and not about getting a good toy. We also teach them it's a time to let go and to indulge and we try and teach them about a variety of beliefs around this time not just about jesus.
I think the trouble is too many people think the magic of xmas is lost when you stop believing in father xmas. It's not true the magic of christmas only stops when You stop being fun.

    STOP IT NOW!

    Please.:)

Quackers, I don't know how to tell you this, but you don't have a chimney, so how will Santa get in.

You're not going to leave your front door open, surely :rotfl:
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D

Every believer knows that Santa has a magic key of course! He has one for our house because although we have a chimney, we have a back boiler. :p
  • I just wanted to thank Nenen for such a lovely way of putting things. My daughter is only 18 months and I will be storing that up for the future.

Ah now I know the answer to this as I spotted a special magic Santa key at the local garden centre for people who don't have chinmeys :j

Anyone seen a small Santa Stop Here sign, as we are away and I need to leave it outside the hotel bedroom for my 17 year old ;)

cos she and I are scared of the duck :o

Forgot to add... my children aged 22, 20 and 17 still get a stocking on the end of their bed from Santa every year and the little suprises continue to make everyone laugh and feel good (especially me as I LOVE buying all those funny, cute, amazing things for stockings)!

If I didn't have the Worlds Best Mummy already, I'd want you to adopt me
