SO I think that means that a pensioner household claiming pension credit, state pension, a disability benefit such as PIP or Attendance Allowance and paying an electricity bill would get £650 (means tested benefit) + £300 (pensioner) + £150 (disability) + £400 (energy grant) - TOTAL £1,500

[EDIT: Plus the previously announced £150 support payment being delivered by local councils if they are in a property with Council Tax Band A-D]
PLUS £200 Winter Fuel Payment (£300 if both over 80 years old).
    #2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £366

Well I got my state pension early Oct 2021, so I don't get winter fuel payment, says cut off date was 26 Sept 21.

Frozen feet for me I guess.

Unless I have mis read it.
People will be eligible for this payment if they are over State Pension age (aged 66 or above) between 19 – 25 September 2022.

Thank you have just read this however when you go to eligibility link it states 26th Sept 21 fingers crossed the new date is correct
If you look further down the WFA page it clearly states it is relevant to winter 2021-22.

In summary, some households get more, some get less but at least everyone gets something.

I am probably simply easy to confuse.

Some households receive a single winter fuel payment and others receive two. So does a household with two recipients receive half each?

yes, a one pensioner household got £200 . A pensioner couple got £100 each.

I expect  the same will apply to the additional payment.- £300 to one pensioner , £150 each to a couple. This is in addition to the normal £200/£100

Thanks @molerat for posting this, it answers one question I had but raises another one. On the Energy Bills Support Scheme it says:
"Energy suppliers will deliver this support to households with a domestic electricity meter over six months from October."
Do we know whether that is a roll out over 6 months, i.e. some people will get it in October 2022 and some as late as March 2023, or is it applied across a 6 month period to everybody's electricity bill, i.e. £66.66 each month from October to March for those who are billed monthly?

I have spent some time on phone Age Uk line this morning and have been told if in receipt of Winter Fuel Allowance this coming year would get the One Off Cost of Living payment.  As I am born after 26th Sept 1955 I will not get either.
    I am so confused.

I’m clearly getting more confused as I get older …. so hopefully someone will confirm.

The previous help with power bills was restricted to certain local rate property bands.  Is the £400 help for every band or the same as before?

    Thanks
