eight million households on means-tested benefits will get £650 paid directly into their bank accounts in two lump sums - one in July, the other this autumn.

There will also be separate one-off payments of £300 to pensioner households and £150 to individuals receiving disability benefits - groups who are "most vulnerable to rising prices".

Although the finer detail is maybe not all visible yet, MSE have published a 'work in progress' piece at https: //www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2022/05/rishi-sunak-martin-lewis-living-costs/ [remove space before double slash] and also at the top of the page (at the time of posting) are announcing:MARTIN LEWIS LIVE Q&A TODAY WITH RISHI SUNAK
The Chancellor Rishi Sunak will be joining Martin for a live Q&A this afternoon to discuss the cost of living support package being announced today - you'll be able to watch it live HERE on the MoneySavingExpert website, stay tuned for more details0 -
Well also be applied in Northern Ireland with or without a sitting assembly?

Talk about confusing!Couldn't he have just reversed the NI tax hike?Raising taxes, giving grants (or are they loans?), benefiting from extra revenue from higher fuel prices; it's all a bit giving with one hand and taking away with the other.2
