Hello @Squirrelz92
Just checking in, i am sorry that you have felt down. I get like that and sometimes whilst not burying your head in the sand but not constantly reading about debt or thinking about it can help as long as your ticking along and have the thought in the back of your head not to go crazy when your taking a break i think its still a massive success! So well done and also its amazing recognising you need a break!
I hope the interview went well, got my fingers crossed for you and that is a massive jump in salary... i really hope you get it 🤞🤞1 -
Morning everyone,
First things first, the interview! It went really wellThe two ladies who conducted it were so friendly and upbeat. I felt at ease as soon as we met
It was an hour long and I was expecting the bog standard serious grilling on 'what is your weakness' and 'explain a time when' questions. Instead we ended up having a brilliant informal chat getting to know one another whilst discussing the company as a whole and some of my experiences. The job literally sounds like it was made for me as there is soooo much to do and there is no telling off for trying new ways of doing things so long as deadlines are met. They said there is plenty of project work to make every ascpect of finance run more efficiently so I was jumping up and down by this point! They told me they are looking to move on finding someone fairly quickly so it will be nice to only have to wait until Tuesday for feedback
Second stage interview will be over Teams with the finance director who is also very down to earth and I am guessing if I get through to second stage, they will want that interview doing quickly also. Praying they choose me as I am so excited about the role and working with such a small family-feel team! EEK! Thank you to all for wishing me the best of luck! Sort of hoping I can cancel the other second stage interview on the 30th as I want this one so much more!
PAD for today is £1.02 into the CC2 pot (had 2p floating about in another pot that should be a round number!). Not much planned for the long weekend other than the usual cleaning and food shop. I may regret saying this but I am quite enjoying studying for my next exam as so far the module is stuff I can relate to and find interesting so that is a bonus. Ask me again in two weeks and I am sure I will be saying different! 😂 My son's Sunday football league has finally started so that will be a nice activity in the early afternoon! Will try and get out for a family hike with the pooch too although I can hear the moaning of children already! I hardly see them at the moment as my son legs it to some part of the village to play with his friends for hours at a time and my daughter also plays out but sticks to our street so I can see her. They haven't been in much the last few weeks so my electricity bill is thanking them! 😂

Sounds like that was a great interview, and you’re so excited I really hope they give you the job xxLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25711

It really was @LittleMissDetermined
You can't help but wonder if your contribution to the interview was enough or whether they would think you'd fit into their team culture wise but I am praying to the gods that they do
Just received a cheque in the post from Ensign regarding a WFH claim I made nearly 3 months ago! It's only for £48.70 but its more money than I had 2 minutes ago. I shall pop this into my CC2 pot ready to use as an overpayment when the cheque clears. I also have £40 being reimbursed to me on Wednesday from work for my study books that I purchased. Not sure if I will put this into my CC2 pot or to pop it into my EF. Trying to get to £500 (eventually £1000 once I am struggling a little less), and if I contribute the £40 to it, I will have a balance of £424. Getting there ...
Also received a PIN from Tesc0 in the post this morning which must mean my credit card application must have been approved🎉 I applied a good few weeks ago but my phone timed me out so the application went from being straightforward to being thrown to the underwriters for further verification. Not sure what the credit limit is but the purpose of this card is to transfer my CC2 balance here plus use this to pay off my horse vet billsDebt Remaining: £8,781.53

Hi Squirrelz92, so glad the interview went well and that you are feeling able to post in your diary again. Slowly but surely that EF will get topped back up and its great to see you are continuing to PAD. Hoping you get some great feedback from the interview soon xx2

Great news on the interview @Squirrelz92, fingers crossed you hear from them soon.1

Afternoon folks,
Normal £1 PAD made to my CC2 pot but I also managed to cash out £6.04 from Prolific so this has gone straight to CC2!
Heard back from the recruiter regarding the first stage job interview I attended on Friday afternoon. They said that I really made an impression and that they want to interview me again at second stage.... today! So I have a Teams interview scheduled for 6.30pm this evening with the head of finance for the company group! Word is that he is really nice and down to earth too so fingers crossed he thinks I will be a good asset to the team. Talk about moving quickly. They said they were looking to fill the role with the right person fairly quickly but this is a new level of quick! Not complaining though as I feel as though this job was made for me! Going to give it my all and hope it is enough
Working from home today as my DD has been very poorly since Sunday afternoon. Not eating, constant stomach pain, sleeping non stop and very hot. Managed to get a doc appointment for the back end of the afternoon today. Even though its a 3 minute walk from our house she is dreading it as she feels so weak
Got an email stating that my Tesc0 CC is on its way to me so as soon as I have that I will be transferring my CC2 balance across and paying my vet bill.
