So I've got a caught date for 1/2/23. It states that I have to leave the full day free for this as there will be multiple cases dealt with. Problem is that the amount I am going to lose from a days pay is more than the fine amount!

What fine ? It isnt a fine unless your at the magistrates court.....
    The original parking fine

Did you me court date? It's not a fine, it is a speculative invoice or a PCN

  • Hi Everyone,

So thanks for everyone's help but I've made a complete pigs ear of this. I haven't filed a "case plan" and also haven't paid the "trial fee" so I'm not sure what my fate is but from what I am reading this will have been "struck out" (not sure exactly what this means).

I know I'll get patronised and ridiculed for this but I have been under a lot of stress with a great deal on my plate and found this whole process just a bit too complex (by design I imagine).

Once again thanks for everyone's help, I think it's a very positive thing that you are all out there trying to stamp these liberties out but unfortunately it looks like they're going to win this one.

What do you mean you haven't paid the claimant's hearing fee for them? Of course not!

Unless you were suing them, that's their fee to pay.  You are the Defendant.  You don't pay money!

And all you need to do is a Witness statement attaching your evidence, which everyone copies and adapts by using the helpful trial bundle posted by @aphex007

You can do that in half a day, it's so easy.  It is all that is needed.

Have you received the Claimant's Witness statement bundle yet?

What is the deadline for WS and evidence as per the Hearing Order letter?
