Thanks for the concern DIA.
<Rips off plaster>
My lovely Dad died on the 21st May. He had been ill with what turned into pneumonia.
His loss has left a big hole in my life and I miss him more everyday.
I'll be coming back to diaryland as and when the feeling takes me. Trying to go with the flow which is not in anyway my natural modus operandi.
RIP Dad. I love you very much.5 -
I'm so sorry, @WelshmansDaughter, you're in my thoughts. xI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Oh, I just read your last post! I'm so sorry to hear your lovely dad died. It might not help now, but it might be some comfort later to know you really were an amazing daughter. Take care and come back when you are ready. I am thinking of you.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you all for your sympathy.
Dad finished living two weeks ago today. He got a Gold Star in the Game of Life.
Some practicalities:
Go back to work tomorrow, find out what the plan is for summer holidays.
Bought new passport, am not hopeful that it will arrive soon.
Carer's Allowance stops on 16/08 (Dad's birthday oh the irony). Govt site makes less sense than Dad at 2am but something exists called pathways to work.
No plans to get a job. I had thought about retraining, doing a level 5 course in the basics of art for a year. Doubt I could follow any kind of structure though.
Making a garden for Dad. He planted a rose bush years ago beside the back wall. So I have bought plants to go in that area. Will also make some kind of living bench.
In the meantime, I am sitting in the sun eating buttered pasta3
