I find gardening therapeutic too. I've never really tried propagating roses. Other plants thought I've cut a bit off and stuck it straight in the soil.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I think the garden for Dad will end up being a summer long project, I'll post the drawings perhaps.
I'm not sure if the roses will take, I had a trench dug for something else so I stuck them in there.
No need to worry about the grief spending really, it's a qualified madness. I went on kindle daily deals and bought all the 85p books I wanted. I got two chairs in the charity shop. Yes I am rearranging my room yet again. I have spent a good bit on food but I don't think I can blame that on grief 🙄
I'll put the blame on autism where it belongs 🤣🤣🤣
Postponed asd assessment. Both mom and sister offered to pay for it which was nice.2 -
The rose propagation: I keep seeing an advert where someone grows roses by sticking the stem into a potato, so I was hoping you were doing that and could tell me whether it's a good tip!
I have temporarily fallen out with the sensory profiler I was doing. I'll have to get back to it at some point but at present the directions all seem to be common sense, when I was really hoping for something I'd not come across. It's probably wise for you to put it on hold for the present if you feel that way. You might find you'll know when you are ready. Nice that people have offered to pay for it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I probably wouldn't look at something like that profiler for advice, I'd maybe look at blogs or videos or books by autistic people.

Turned the kettle on from my bed this morning thanks to smart plug. It's the little things.2

LOL, I like the use of the smart plug!
Well, I must admit I'm disappointed in the profiler, but I also need to go back and check I've actually read everything. It's giving me about a 50% score, but doesn't let me know quite what that means? Is it my left side or my right that's autistic? However, I've seen that 50% on a couple of other scores off different tests so at least it's consistent.
I see just what you mean about finding the evidence from autistic people rather than something written by neurotypical people - neurotypical observations aren't easy to identify with, partly because they use stereotypes which doesn't work on something that (by definition) diverse, and also because they deal with observed symptoms rather than lived experience. My example from the profiler to illustrate this would be that all the visual sensitivity questions seem to deal with hypersensitivity, whereas hyposensitivity isn't addressed.
This reminds me I have book leant by a friend about someone's lived experience and I think now might be the time to read it (Cherry runs a mental eye over the ten-foot high stack of books waiting to be read and estimates it's about three feet from the bottom).
Happy gardening, how are the rose shoots coping with the heat?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Random small things
Bought a smart light bulb and set it to wake me up this morning.
Applied for an art course.
Signed up for extra work.
Rearranged room again (adding in atudio type space and tech)
Watched all the videos in 2 domestika courses.
Been a bit too wired and struggling to regulate so taking a day to stay at home. Or try to. I may try the salvage yard as I've been thinking of that for a while.
As ever the administrative narrative must be continued and I shall make a to do list for such things. Hopefully I am able to not to them today.

Glad you are getting back into your art.
It's natural to feel a bit at sea while you're grieving. It's also a big life change as you were so actively involved in your Dad's care.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
