January you sounds like a useful person to know.

That cold is evil. It can't last much longer, can it?

Watch out having a mattress on the floor, you lose a lot of moisture each night and without airflow around and under the mattress it will soak directly into the carpet/flooring and easy turns to mold/mildew.

January Me was on the ball. Just not enough to write it on the calendar 🤦‍♀️

Didn't think of that Jellytotts. It has been ok since nov but I might look into something to put underneath it as it is directly on floorboard and it can get hot in this room in summer.

Speaking of, work lady dropped off flowers and a card which includes a picture drawn by child 3 of me sick in bed. She drew me in a bed originally then scribbled over the frame when she obviously remembered there was no bed 🤣🤣🤣

Poor dad has caught the lurgy. Thankfully his new chair reclines so he has been having his afternoon rest at rest as it were. Have been pouring cough medicine down him. And vitamin c.

Money spent today on a kettle for my bedroom. I'm putting in a little tea station so I can have a cup of tea first thing when I wake up instead of going from 0 to 60.

I do like the idea of the tea station - are you going to have a bowl of different teas to choose from, like a hotel?

    Very civilised. :)

Mind you - air the room when you boil the kettle or that mould will be after you. I hadn't thought about it getting under a mattress, perhaps turning and moving the mattress would help?

    Hope your Dad recovers soon.

For a moment there I thought that was yours! Very impressive, I would be buying lots of flavours for the fun of filling all the boxes and trying them out.
Or how about an Advent calendar type of thing where you fill pockets randomly and get whatever's in today's date?

Eventful morning. Poor dad was hoisted about like a sack of potatoes but eventually made it to the kitchen chair where he promptly fell asleep.
I am dressed for the first time since Tuesday go me! Ran out to the library to pick up my reserves. Knepp was in the paper last weekend and I thought I would try reading Wilding again. Also went to the local paint shop to pick up two tester pots. I'm not entirely sure but it may be my ambition in life to own every farrow and ball colour ever made. I got their colour card last week and just love looking at it.

Gosh, it looks so right for purpose that I assumed it was commercially produced! Well, there's a side hustle for you. Make, fill, gift wrap and market especially coming up to Christmas!
