I hope the head is feeling better, but if not, get a doctor or nurse to check you. The full house sounds like cause enough on its own but it's best to be sure.

  • Don't worry Cherry I happen to have an in house doctor just now, one of the 8 🤯

Lol I would happily share SH if I ever finished any art. Or indeed, started any 🤣🤣🤣

Head is now a sore dent and I am off the paracetamol. Survived a screaming tantrum by devil child this afternoon so must be on the mend

  • I don't recommend it as a mental health treatment but my bang on the head does seem to have relaxed me somewhat.
Saying that just had a wobble because dad woke up an hour before the carer arrives and I lost my quiet time. Which has been in short supply this week.
    Nephew is adorable and loud.
Normally Thursday would be a down time after work but we have a new carer on Thursday morning now, sister has to be transported somewhere. I'm hoping they'll forget it was supposed to be me driving her.

In money news, did the renewal quote for home insurance-324! Did it for annual so that might be a no go.

Sometimes living in Ireland has the surreal feeling of being in a Beckett play or James Joyce novel. Walked past two old codgers mid conversation with a man begging outside the supermarket. They were telling him all about how alcohol gets into your brain.
Am not winning in the sanity department today. Went mental in m and s waiting for sister act to come out of a doctor's appointment. Luckily all was as expected but the stress made me binge eat 🙄 Or my lack of emotional regulation meant I made poor nutritional choices. If you want to get fancy.
I also then made a boozy eve's pudding which will obviously have to be eaten. Forced some upon the evening carer who was very polite about it 🤣🤣🤣 Definitely overdid the rum.
Going to try and sit through a whole film tonight. I've had the Mr Rogers documentary in my watchlist for a while

    So where's my share, please?

    Enjoy your TV time!

    I enjoyed soft play.
    There I said it.
I have looked for an adult version and may have to resort to borrowing a child to go back.
I am absolutely knackered now and lost the run of myself at the shops. On the bright side I now have cream to go with boozy pud. And the nephew might have a truck from the charity shop. I did go to the charity shop with the aim of getting shoes as my previous charity shop shoes have mysteriously started cutting one ankle. Got a pair of nearly new converse which makes me happy.
Also got dad (and myself) an under desk cycle in the charity shop which is excellent as I've been looking for one for a while.
The advantage of soft play is that I now have a houseful of knackered adults. Quiet adults.
I'm still on the lookout for an affordable recliner for dad. Found an electric one for €400 in a charity furniture warehouse! His current chair is, well, government issued.
Thinking I might apply for jobs just to get back in the habit of it. I asked about doing simulated patient at the medical school but they're not looking at the moment.

Re the shoes cutting ankle thing.  I get that when the padding/cushioning under the heel starts collapsing which makes your foot sink deeper into the shoe.  Would a heel only insole help do you think?  Cheaper than new shoes IF it is going to work.
