  • Thanks Dia, KoK, SH.
It does make me happy, not quite there yet though. I've brought up a magazine rack to store paper in but it needs a good cleaning. I'm using some plastic bookends as well for shelves, to go up at some point.

It has been a fairly tiring week with hormones on top of family chaos. The bath is sealed and cleaned though. Nearly finished in there.
Sister Act is coming for a visit next week so things to be done for that.

Progress has been made mentally as well. Was thinking to myself that I must address the tiredness that is going hand in hand with my new schedule. Which is progress because previously I would just try and jack it all in.

  • Yesterday was a two-teabag day. Unfortunately, that meant a no sleep night.

Am mildly afraid that I may be turning into a prepper. I got a winter ready booklet from the library and now am contemplating all sorts of canned goods. This time two years ago I was doing bike deliveries in a blizzard. How the mighty have fallen.

Money wise I have done one mystery shop that paid in theory €15. However, it has not been confirmed so not counting it yet. Gym has been cancelled as of the commitment period end date of 30/11. Frustratingly I think I have managed 6 visits in total. Illness, Heavy changing hours, Dad's sleep all contributed but it is probably for the best. I don't know if I want to be in a gym environment in winter with Dad being so vulnerable.

I have decided to move back toward a Paleo style diet as it is more nutrient dense and I am so lacking in energy. That being said, the first thing I made out of the recipe book (library book) was a 2 minute microwave cinnamon cake. Yum.

  • I think I need that recipe. I love both mug cake and cinnamon.

  • Oh dear, a 2 teabag day followed by a no sleep night! I hope today is better.

We are on the same page diet wise. I do much better with nutrient dense high protein lots and lots of veggies diet. I've been doing the opposite and it isn't great for my body or brain either. Good luck with your new eating plan.

The mighty can get up again. You are doing great.

  • Me too. In the summer I eat salad every day with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and I feel much better. As soon as the cold/dark days start I crave nothing but stodge and feel like rubbish.

  • KoK I have pm'd you the recipe. The coconut flour is pricey though. I think I might try with ground almond or cassava flour.

Ghibli I would check out some paleo recipes- quite a few comforting stew/casserole type recipes without the heaviness of stodge.

Dia I do think it is a flavour thing as well as a nutrient thing. The recipe book I'm looking at has all the flavours I seem to be drawn to.
  • I am a big foodie so taste will always come first. I eat for comfort and sensual pleasure too.  Luckily, for me I love cooking so creating food that pleases me in all sorts of ways, but is nutritionally sound isn't a conflict.

Aldee do coconut flour for a reasonable price.
Asian shops sell cassava flour for a reasonable price.
