I don't think debt busting needs to be a top priority currently. You have enough on your plate.

Enjoy the heat and get well.

  • Bit of a frantic start to the morning. Was giving dad his breakfast when the tesco delivery turned up. Then the dog took advantage of the open door and took herself off for a walk. Had to go up the road in my pyjamas to find her. Then my aunt's delivery turned up as I was getting dad ready so I answered the door with my gloves on. And dad complaining that he was cold. Loudly. The poor tesco man ran away as fast as he could.

    I need a nap.

Laundry done, dishwasher on and green smoothie made.

Sounds busy. Hope you are starting to feel better - and the nap was refreshing rather than just the sleep of the exhausted...

Ha there was no nap! Except for dad bless him, we did some standing practice today and he was tuckered out.

So I had a bit of a sit down in the front garden with a cup of tea and watched the random people go by. And indulged my strange obsession with new Zealand disability documentaries.

Got started on organizing dad's paperwork. I'm taking baby steps and just emptied the box and sorted into piles. Must remember the electronic stuff as well.

Tried and failed at meal planning. Although I did cut €15 off the shopping bill and managed a vague approximation of meals.

Off to indulge in more documentaries.

You make me want to investigate the documentaries now too...

  • It's from a YouTube channel called Attitude. Genuinely inspiring people, some depressing but it's amazing what some people do!
  • Spent much of the day doing chores. Teacup is away and that means I do laundry, dishwasher and anything else. On the bright side, it means it gets done when I want it done 🤣🤣🤣
Progressed slightly with organising dad's paperwork. Created list of contacts and now just gearing up to do the medical history. With dates. Urgh.
I still have to buy the wheelchair and I'm assuming some sort of ramp for the door which is almost as expensive as the chair itself! But better that than the rolling desk chair we are currently using...
Chased up the builder for the quote needed for the grant application.
Dad being tired in the day time does mean I get a lot more done.

Progress not perfection. You're doing really well. Remember to check out FB marketplace for disability aids and charities.

Hope you get the builder's quote soon.

  • Turbocharged my tea this morning by using two teabags. Twice. Operated at roadrunner speed for about two hours. Until the dog jumped up on me, came way too close to my face and I reared back cracking my head off the wall.
    Cue grump for the afternoon.
Although that may have been the caffeine comedown as well...
Spent more time with Dad today so less other stuff accomplished. Unless you count 3 laundry loads and 4 dishwasher runs.
In a bit of a huff with the weather now as it was too hot to sit out with my tea this morning and subsequently too cool to dry the washing quickly.
Bought a kindle book today, I'm still a bit in homebody mode and don't really want to go into anywhere enclosed. Even the library.

Well done on the washing and dishwasher. Ouch to cracking your head though.

Hope you recover from that and the covid quickly.
