  • LB has been sent home from nursery yet again. I’d like to think it’s the start of a lifelong rebellion against authority but in reality I think it is the start of a lifelong battle against snot.
Two days of childcare has left me a tad frazzled. Also without dinner as LB had to be taken to gp.
Potential food shop was quite illuminating. I don’t think I can eat pasta regularly but overall the shop wouldn’t have been that expensive. Next step will be to estimate portions and length of plan.
  • I have been pondering several possible avenues for my next steps. I suspect that sister act is expecting again and therefore I will have no choice but to move out as they will not want me hanging about.
Plans shall have to wait as my ears are still ringing from small ones howls. He had his first haircut this morning and was not a fan in the slightest.
I did travel in the new car though and had room for two whole arms and my legs!

I would have thought that if they need you now, they'd need you even more with another child in the house. However, if space and privacy are issues, perhaps it's a good idea to plan ahead.

  • I may be making a mountain out of a molehill to be fair. My brain does put things together in its own way 🤷
Tomorrow is planned as a rest day. I’ve been full on resting for most of the day except for the odd playtime. And random baking session.
I’m trying not to think about what is to be done next. On and off success with that.

  • Today was interesting. Possibly in the Chinese sense.
I had planned to go out and try deliveries today. I practiced doing things one at a time and managed to actually get out of the house so that was a win. I did end up on the scenic route into town which was good for my eyes not so good for my legs.
I managed £15 worth of earnings which was within my bounds of 5 and 20 so that was good. What was not so good was stopping to check my phone for orders, nearly getting blown off my bike in the wind and overhearing a police incident which appeared to involve someone taking someone else’s child. As I was trying to exit this situation I realised that I had lost my bag from the back of my bike. I’m not going to lie, at least one of my thoughts was oh no I’ve lost my library book. I was also concerned about my wallet and even more concerned about my house keys.
So I retraced my steps on the last delivery and nothing. So I went all the way back up the hill and (pretty despondent) encountered the bag sitting neatly at the side of a construction site.
I sat down in the graveyard for a rest at this point. Yes the Main Street has a graveyard on it. Luckily I was not worried about someone stealing my cards as they have no money on them which is an unforeseen advantage of debt.
Bike is now locked at the train station as I am not doing the 5 mile scenic route again tomorrow.
    One McMo token picked up.
Am now vegged out in front of a programme about trains.

That's fantastic you managed to get back on the deliveries, and earn £15, and that your bag was safe, presumably some nice person had put it aside.

Hopefully the police incident was resolved to a good outcome, and the wind behaves itself for you in future

P.s. Well done on the McMo!

What a day! Though as PiP says, earning some cash and finding your bag safe are both good things. Do you have any idea how the bag got loose? I'm sure even a cable tie or similar could help prevent that now you know it's a possibility.

  • The bag was held on by its straps but not tied on. I have cable ties in my flat so I didn’t want to buy any more!
Today I have woken up zonked so have decided gentle day today. I have the baby tomorrow so wouldn’t like to be too worn out as I get very snappy/short tempered.
I just have to remember that I’m playing the long game here and it all has to be sustainable. As much as the demand for bills to be paid is real, it can’t be the main focus.
  • Little Bulldog has decided that our morning activity is to sit on the sofa. I am ok with this.
Or at least I will be for another 15 minutes and then I’ll have to start tiring him out 🤷
Slightly embarrassing episode in Mr A yesterday, card declined even after I put coins in, cue a kerfuffle with the machine🤦
Thankfully it was after I had got my book in the charity shop and tea in the cafe.
