Well done on getting down to £13ks. Your income looks healthy but I guess erratic as it is not all year long. I think you are doing the right thing keeping your own place as your OHs DD sounds a bit of a nightmare and he obviously does not have your back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Glad to hear you had a nice weekend Emma. What resilience you must have to get that 42k figure down by so much, even more so when you take into account all the other personal stuff you’ve had going on.
I would think your partner’s daughter is really insecure and jealous of you being with her dad. You are very sensible keeping your own place and your independence27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 54 -

You are navigating this brilliantly @[Deleted User] and building your life in the way that you want. What a well-earned holiday this is and you are absolutely right not to allow OH to guilt-trip you. Please tell me to mind my own business but is this overall a relationship you want? Love Humdinger xx2

Morning @[Deleted User],This paragraph of your last post resonated more than it should with me 'I'm a hoarder (I think I have mentioned this) and I found some lighters that I had acquired. I listed them recently for sale and they have a lot of watchers. Fingers crossed they make some money for me. I've got thousands of random items in my house to get rid of. It feels like a window into my past and so I've been avoiding it.'Having moved house in the past 2 weeks, most of the boxes are now tackled but the boxes with my things in, i'm too doing the same avoidance and clothes are the worse ones! They hold so many memories and many don't at the moment fit or they just don't 'feel right'. If I'd come into money, i'd quite like someone with a bit more style to take me shopping for a small capsule wardrobe and charity shop the rest. Good luck with the sale of the lighters. Not sure if this is any help, but am going to try timing myself for 10 mins at a time to tackle a bit of stuff and hopefully get through it. We can do itYour holiday sounds lush though, my two kids are footy mad so its exactly the same here if we had sky sports etc.

Your holiday sounds lovely. Good plan to list 10 things a day. Am I correct in thinking you are now managing others’ work? This is surely smarter than physically doing it all yourself; sounds like it is evolving into a nice business and I’m sure you will be successful because you work hard.
This may be daft but would you consider selling the largest items first? To clear the space faster and then maybe you won’t feel such a hoarder? Could the room double up as an office if remaining smaller things were out of sight in drawers / cupboards? Perhaps re-purposing the room into an office would give you a burst of energy. Everything has a ‘right time’ and you will know when that is, until then don’t stress it or let the bf dictate.
Marie Kondo - original queen of decluttering - recommends taking photos of objects and then storing the image in an album of memories; if you are taking photos of stuff to post online you are half way to this already.3 -
Fabulous update! Don’t overdo it but you do seem to be seeing the green shoots of a lucrative new business. Onwards and upwards2
