Nothing unusual there.
Do you have any specific questions not answered in the second post of the NEWBIES thread or the posts linked from it?3 -
Hi,
I sent my DQ back to the CCBC email address and got an automatic acknowledgement. However nothing is updated on the MCOL portal, I got the automatic acknowledgement email on the 4th. As of the 14th today the latest Claim Status in MCOL portal was still "DQ sent to you on 22/03/2023".
Is this normal? Should I expect the Claim Status to be updated at some point after I returned my DQ by email? Thanks!1 -

Hiya - I got a lovely letter from gladstone solicitors today -
"The claimant without intending any discourtesy to the Court hereby gives notice that it will not be attending the final hearing"
This notice is given pursuant to CPR 27.9
The Claimant has requested that the Court excuses its attendance and that the claim be decided in its absence

any advice appreciated
they have sent me also the pack with a witness statement
i am almost done with my witness statement -
the court date is the end of june and they have until 02nd to pay the court trial fee - i need to get my witness statement to the court and claimant 14 days before - i have enough time to wait until 02 june -
will i know if they have paid the fee and if the case is still going ahead?

Whilst Gladstones have said they won't be attending, they will send an advocate.3
-
ok - so from my perspective - continue as normal and finalise the witness statement and send it off
also - what about the fee? - how will I know if they have paid that?0 -

You could always phone the court and ask if you really need confirmation.3 -
ok - thanks
i was just asking about the fee - as i am 100% planning to attend and fight my case - but if the case don't go ahead because they don't pay the fee - i'll save myself the journey....
