Haven't a clue: I go in to Aldi or Lidl and buy 2.272 litres of organic semi-skimmed, and if it goes up I hope it means the farmers stay in business.. I occasionally by full fat organic in Waitrose for custards and the like, and I don't know what that costs either, but definitely more expensive pro-rata!

I buy Arla lactose free milk...the price has increased such a lot recently.

My local co-op sells it for £2 a litre. Most places don't sell it any lower than £1 85.

I've tried other makes, but I don't like the taste.

A reasonably price milk man would be nice but they have been out priced by the supermarkets.
I didn't realise the supermarkets sold men of any sort!  I must be using the wrong stores!!!

Sorry if my previous with off topic.....

Our favourite place to buy milk is from the dispensing machines that have popped up around the county.  Originally there was only the one at a farm shop where you could see the cows in the field.  You would buy a litre bottle for £1 and fill it for £1.  In the last 3 years this has increased to £2 for the glass bottle (fortunately we still have the 6 from 3 years back) and the milk can be £1.20 or £1.30 depending on which location you go to as they are now a number of farmers that are utilising these.

The taste of the milk is wonderful - the best this side of the alps in our opinion.  But this obviously has the same problem as when we've baked our own bread - you go through it twice as quick as it's lovely.  Not very MSE.

85p a pint form our local milkwoman.  Went up from 80p about a year ago.

She has had to recently cut deliveries from 5 days a week to 4, due to the cost of diesel.

I will happily pay more for milk ‘if’ the money goes to the dairy farmers.
    I won't. You'll never meet a poor farmer.
