So I woke up and went to make a coffee, great no milk. I know prices on items are going up due to the war, but I was shocked when I went to get a 2 Litre bottle of milk and its normally 1.60 today it cost me 2 pound. curious to know on anyone else's prices and I hope I posted this in the right place.

I will happily pay more for milk ‘if’ the money goes to the dairy farmers.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I get milk delivered direct from a local farm 3 times a week. It costs £1.25/litre or £0.68/pint.
Yes, its more expensive than from any of the shops but all the money goes to the farm, there are no middle-men / brokers / supermarkets taking their cut, the food miles are much less than milk from any other source (the farm is only 5 miles away), they sell full-fat, semi-skimmed or skimmed but probably most importantly of all - it tastes so much better than the milk from the shops.

Some shops do 4-pint bottles
2 litres is 3.5 pints so it's a little easier to keep the price down1 -
6 pints for £1.70 in tesco and lidl so 28.3p per pint. Was £1.50 a couple of months ago.sarah1972 said:I will happily pay more for milk ‘if’ the money goes to the dairy farmers.6

I'm a high milk user but am no longer gung-ho in my usage - these days I try to use just enough to make things palatable. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -

4 pints (2.2 litres) from Tesco is £1.25 for regular and £1.50 for filtered.
Independant corner shops have been around £1.50 for 2 litres for a long time I think.0 -
