Hope you get that moving date soon.
There are quite a few Scottish posters on here - and it makes me want to visit. Some of the countryside is stunning.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

All paperwork received today and signed for delivery tomorrow to my solicitor! Exchange will be tomorrow or monday and then completion w/c 15th AUgust! Hurrah!
I do have one small issue- My solicitor is asking for 10% deposit of £13k ish, i only have my 5% deposit of £7k ish. Im hoping they accept this as was never mae aware i may have to pay the whole 10% and then get it back- I literally dont have that money!
Have transferred the 5% so will see what they say!

Ahhhhhh this is so exciting!
Not sure on the deposit front. But they should be able to clear that up for you.2 -
Hope the 5% is okay - as I understand it your liable for the 10% if you don't complete - but there's normally a way round having to physically hand over the £ if that's due to come from the mortgage / your sale.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Once again i have been shocking with updating things! When I'm on leave i don't access my computer all the time so forget!
I am STILL not moved! I have handed notice in and was meant to be Monday for completion but there is a delay so I am now waiting to hear from my ever diminishing trust in solicitor!!
He is due to phone me on Monday as he has requested the mortgage funds and everything other than one query is in place- I need to hand in my keys for this place on the 25th August, i am then on holiday until the 30th!
So the upshot of it is i am expecting to complete on Thursday i then have to find a moving company who is available for Monday, clean tuesday and wednesday and hand keys back before i depart! Im really really hoping it no later than this and im also gonna struggle to get a moving company, Im hoping they have availability or else im screwed!!
So thanks to those who are following- 5% was fine and it was a standard document that he sent me ! Im now gonna be on the phone Monday morning first thing demanding a date for completion!

Good luck on the moving date, sounds very unnecessarily stressful.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
