28 day rule only applies to changing from smart tariff to another smart tariff, customers can change from Tracker or Agile whenever they want bar 28 day wait to change from Agile to another smart tariff e.g Octopus GoKeith_F said:

I've been offered the same deal and I'm strongly considering taking it. My question is though, since I'm holding onto some hope the government won't actually let this happen in the end (daft, I know), if I do take it then does the no exit fee mean I can drop back down to variable at any time, no hard feelings, or is there a catch somewhere?wd300956 said:Ive been offered 12month fix with Octopus/Co op energy fixed Loyal 12MDaily standing charge 49.38p /day Unit rate 68.80p /kWh Early exit fee £0 🔥 Gas Daily standing charge 27.22p /day Unit rate 18.70p /kWh Early exit fee £0
As stated elsewhere, look at the Tracker and Agile tariffs, they are lower than this, capped and no exit fees, though they do require that you don’t swap out again during the first 28 days.1 -
I fixed a few days ago on the Eon Next online v19 tariff with the view that it had no exit penalty so if the price cap increase wasn't as bad as feared, I wasn't stuck with it.
I can't seem to find out on my Eon account how much the new v20 tariff is and whether I am better off staying with the v19 or moving. Does anyone have in insight into what the v20 tariff is?
I am in London and have a day/night rate for electric.
v19 has Electric at 32.23 standing charge, and unit rates of 66.52 day and 50.58 overnight and Gas at 27.22 standing and 15.26 unit rate0 -
Yeah I don't get it either. I got an email from them 10 days ago saying I can go on smooth renew v19 and as has been said previous tariffs are not there now. Keep us posted as it makes no sense why they would honour something that far out of date! If some junior has made an error and put it in writing you may indeed be lucky!jonathon4242 said:pochase said:If they honour that you got extreme lucky.
that's why I keep thinking there must be a catch
I keep checking my account but can't see any change yet, I'm hoping it's because they are so busy!!0 -
It's also interesting and odd that you got offered a new deal around 3 months before your current fix ended. My current Sainsburys fix ends on 30th September. The first communication I got from them titled "You're ready to renew" was sent on August 16th!jonathon4242 said:I've secured a fixed deal with Sainsburys Energy from when my current deal finish on the 6th October this year,Fixed Deal I've been offered by email (I was offered this in June but only action ed it today but they seem to have0 -

I was told on Tuesday last week that v20 rate was 52.6 p/kwh and 49.65p/day Electric, 13.32 p/kwh and 27.22p/day Gas, I don't have night rate and live in East Lothian so not sure how good a comparison that is

For others might be worth checking any tariff offers
you've been made in the last three months by email and ask to go on it, they can only say no.
