Poo in my Eater Egg and I chewed on it!

I opened my fully-sealed Ferrero Roche easter egg looking for a little sweet nibble before bed.  I hunted around the packaging to see if any Ferrero Roche's were included, there weren't but I did find a stray nugget of chocolate which I threw into my mouth and chewed - quickly realising it wasn't chocolate at all!  It was the most disgusting experience of my life which of course made me vomit and I still don't feel 100% after the experience.

Can anyone advise me on how to approach this situation with regards to proving the situation (I have some spat out poo in a cup the egg came with), making sure this is investigated with the manufacturer and making a compensation claim please?

Send your complaint and evidence to the retailer.

Have to wonder if there's any connection with the salmonella outbreak that the ferrero group have a problem with (didnt they recall all their kinder eggs?)

As above, take everything - egg, packaging and ahem, sample - to the retailer, and see what they say.

As for compensation - what are your losses?  Have you incurred any medical expenses yet?  If you don't have any financial losses, it's down to goodwill from the retailer.

Wouldn't my evidence and complaint just disappear if I do this?  Then I won't be able to prove anything.

Well, you're not going to get any compo simply by claiming to have some poo in your house.

You have suffered no financial loss, so the most you might get is a replacement egg...
Do you seriously think they can investigate your complaint without the evidence from you?

I imagine there is every connection.  As in, I would think the OP saw that story.

Is this about the manufacturer investigating or is it about how much compo can I get ?

Was it poo or just a lump of raw cocoa. I know that's pretty disgusting in the unprocessed state.
