SM's own brand crumpets for a pack of 8 were 33p (can't remember, but may have been Aldi price matched), now 50p. Still cheaper than branded pack of 6 priced at 90p (currrently on promotion at 75p). A different brand of gluten free are £2 for 4 and have poor reviews. That seems really steep so I'm glad I don't need gluten free.
Three cheers, SM's own brand sardines are back in stock. Different can design but still 40p so I'll be stocking up.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.6 -

JackieO - even if it was a pound a meal now, it might still help. You have such good suggestions. Love reading your posts.4

The Brogdale butchers are good. My DD lives near Canterbury so we sometimes go to their butchers at Sturry. They do deliver but I prefer to see my meat before I buy.3

40p sardines back in store at our T’s today too, plus the Stockwell branded tuna at 59p a tin. None of the normal own brand tuna though, and we noticed they’d removed the “4 for £2.83” deal SELs as well so presumably the offer won’t still be in place when they do finally get them back on the shelves.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

weenancyinAmerica I think I may have to dig it out, and have a looksee and see what I can adapt a bit
I know its on my laptop somehwere.
I sent it out to so many people a few years ago . It all started as a bit of fun to see what I could make for very little money. Then it snowballed a bit and I added recipes I had been sent or had got from this site, and i think last time I looked it had grown quite a bit.
All of the recipes I have tried and tested and worked pretty well .Some were from posters who sadly are no longer around but some great ideas from them though

Aldi’s Nordpak (their version of Lurpak) has been steadily increasing in price all year - it’s now up another 10p to £2.09 for 500g.4

Lots of items have gone up in Aldi's i.e. biscuits and hairspray just to mention two.3
