Sorry to hear you’re not feeling great. Ouch to the toothache and the cost of treatment.

Great news for your friend though, she must be so relieved.

Sorry you've been unwell and the tooth.

  • My friend was looking well , she is still worried that she will get cancer again, but I guess that's only natural.

My tooth is still aching slightly but am managing without painkillers.

I have come to do some house sitting at my sons for a few days , just for a change of scenery. I think what has happened to me is , I have been on full mode since February when life changed a bit, now things are sort of settling, well fingers crossed for that, it has all caught up on me .
Plus I have done a lot of travelling this year , which was expected 60th birthday year etc. I can't get out of the mindset that something is going to go wrong so I am waiting for the next thing. I'm sure with time it will pass.
Anyway my sons house is a terraced with very steep stairs , I have to literally crawl up them and come down on my backside 😂.

Today has been so much nicer than yesterday, though it still feels cold to me.
I am looking forward to watching strictly later, son has a very well stocked drinks shelf, I rarely drink though, but there's always a first time.

I completely get your feeling of there’s something unpleasant lurking around the corner. I think when you’ve had something bad or unsettling happen it makes you like that. Hopefully you’ve had your share now and things will be fine 🙏

My son’s house has really steep narrow stairs too. My heart was in my mouth last time we visited and Mr SA had to use the bathroom!

I’m also looking forward to Strictly 💃

I enjoyed Strictly. I can’t say Angela is my favourite as there is something I can’t put my finger on....but I wish I could run up the stairs like she runs up them there stairs 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s natural to wonder what will go wrong next….just relax and enjoy the moment. Easier said than done 😏
    January spends - £587.58
  • The stairs are a good form of exercise I must say that.
Been to parents for the usual shopping trip, and cooked breakfast.
Came back to sons and had a tidy round his garden , I'm not a gardener though.
Have managed to sort all my pots out and my dentist one now has £80 in it , so on the way. I will get back about £80 from health cover as well.
Have just had a lovely gluten free lasagne , made by DS for me and left in the freezer.
Tonight is Strictly results and an early night.

I’ve also had a gluten free lasagne but also meat free and made by me. Will also be having an early night after the Strictly results 🙂

@milann I feel the same about Angela, she’s got the high leg kicks but very little movement from the waist up. However I think she’ll get the “good for her age” votes and annoyingly stay in for a while 😐

I think most of us can identify with that anxious feeling of "something must be about to happen" can't we - and it is absolutely unsettling, you're not wrong! In some ways I think it's easier when it is something specific we are feeling anxious about as you can go through the steps to counter that, but when you can't put your finger on what it is making you feel uneasy it's not as straightforward!

You're probably right that a busy year and possibly gradually beginning to drain the tanks of resilience isn't helping.

It was lovely of you to keep your "date" with your friend in spite of not feeling 100% though - hopefully seeing her over the moon about her all-clear helped a bit.
