  • Worked from the office yesterday , it was very busy in there and we were also busy . Today is a WFH day so much more sedate.
My ex FIL passed away on Sunday a blessing in some sense . My DGC of course were sad .
The new car windscreen was put in today so I have my freedom back again. Tomorrow is shopping day and meeting a friend in the afternoon for a catch up.

Sorry to hear your sad news about your ex FIL.

My windscreen repair has been put back to the 26th which is apparently as fast as they can do it - thank goodness we have the garage else I'd have a hugely vulnerable car sitting by the roadside! (Never mind that it would likely get sopping wet with the forecast downpours!) I'm glad to hear yours has been done nice and swiftly anyway!

  • Catch up with friend was lovely as always.
This week the DGC eldest two went on inflatables and then the park.
Friday we went to the zoo near the seaside, all 3 of them and ex came as well so grandad was a little helpful.
Saturday saw the youngest DGS christened, close family only and then a garden party at DDs with a bouncy castle for the 8 children in the close family. I enjoyed catching up with DSILs family I get in well with them. My own parents enjoyed it as well.
This morning at 8.30 I was in the big park with another friend got home some 4.5 hours later , we had walked about 6 miles as we chatted had 2 coffees along the way.
A very busy few days but lovely as well.
Just getting organised for work , making food to take with me.
Third payday part time , only needed £95 from savings to balance the budget.

Big park sounded lovely. Bet it was lovely and quiet at 8.30.
The christening also sounded lovely. I much prefer a gathering with just the important people there. So many make these occasions for to big for my liking.

  • Last day of childcare for the holidays done , next week mum and dad are off . I am going to have a relaxing weekend hopefully. One day in work then a jaunt to the lakes for three days to have some quiet time.
The DGC and I have had a ball this summer holidays , all budgeted for . However I am now going to be watching those pennies through the next two months. The fuel price hike is very scary and I will be glad to get my works pension in December to get some extra money in.
Going to try and come up with some ways of making things cheaper for myself in the next few weeks to do with Christmas.
