Hi @elsiepac
My budget is £300 please
This is for 2 adults and a toddler, includes household items like loo/kitchen roll, including baby wipes, a few emergency nappies, washing powder, toiletries etc
We’ve managed to come under for the last 3 months and had a touch left over this month so I’m hopeful.I see the weekly email mentioned the GC so I suspect we will see lots of newbies here this month. Welcome to everyone who is new

Hi had originally put us down as 400 for the 1st to the 31st but I've just realized my may runs 27th April to the 25th of May the way our pay days work. Can you tell this is my first grocery challenge?
Had to do Wednesdays shop last night as car going into garage today, fingers crossed that doesn't result in a big bill.
So spent 59.35 on food/house and cat stuff for the week. 340.65 left for the rest of the month
Weight loss goal 6/7lbs for first quarter
Overall 2025 weight loss goal for the year 6/21lbs

Spends already in Liidl for a few bits that were needed, cheese, milk, soft fruit, bread and a few packs of nappies. They’re mostly for the new baby when it arrives so just starting a little stash off.Grabbed some tin foil and containers from HomeBs as well as we keep running out of places to put leftovers!£26/300 spentFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

good luck @Greying_Pilgrim. You have shown us all that it is possible to dig deeper for a few months when we need to.
welcome @Bella_Budget. You will definitely be able to cut your budget with the help of tips on here.
@otb666 and @Smoosh I hope that you can get your toothache seen to sooner rather than later as constant pain is draining.
I have done my grocery shop early so that we have food in when we get back from DS’s so won’t touch any of the food until May 1st. £83.96 spent.
Meal plans have gone to pot since nuerovirus hit us. Jacket potatoes with varying fillings that use up the freezer bits and bobs seem to be a hit with me and DH has managed a boiled egg with toast and beans on toast so far so they are cheap easy meals.
good luck to all this month. The things that are not getting more expensive seem to be getting smaller! Even the dog Pooh bags that I bought for a neighbour have shrunk!!! I hope the dog can manage to shrink his business accordingly!!!😂🤣craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £17.98 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hi Elsiepac
Could you put me down for £200 as usual
I'm in Devon for 2 weeks from the 7th and have set a holiday budget but can see me dipping in elsewhere once I have my holiday head on.
thanks,

I used up some Qu0rn mince last night, and made up a vegetable tomato sauce, so that it was on a 'bolognese' vibe. The good news to report is that LG not only ate up the Q mince, (dubiously, I can't say they were entirely "sold"), but didn't even flinch over the sauce, which (shhhh! 🤫) twixt thee, me and t'gatepost, contained SWEDE! ...... and carrot, bell pepper and celery 🤣Had I diced such veg elegantly on the side of LG's plate, they would still have been there this morn! 🤣 So I am lucky that I'm not entirely alone in my 'eat up all the things' campaign.....Soontobeoap said:.....good luck to all this month.
