Anyone know any credit cards that offer more than £10k limits?

Currently with Nationwide on their old gold credit card and been using it for over 12 years always paid off in full every month. They've said the max limit is £10,000 not limited by my credit rating etc just a rule they have that's the maximum they offer any customers.

Fully realise now if I go with another provider I'll have to build up trust but does anyone know of providers have higher limits eventually? Subject to credit rating of course!

Ideally a reward credit card! Always good to make free money!

I previously had an AMEX card with ever increasing credit limit and it was absurd when I closed the account.

I'd like to think they have tightened things since then.

Having large balance on credit card can lead to negative outcomes.

MBNA are good & M&S bank.   Both have different reward schemes.

For both of these I started out relatively small scale and then got it increased sometimes without asking and then a few times when I had a large purchase to make - like a car.

Intend to pay it in full every month. Never missed a payment in my life. Want it for the protections credit cards bring.

Never had a problem before providing they are used correctly and responsibly.

How long did it take to build up? Years? It's for a car also!

For reward cards, Amex BA Platinum keeps going up, now at £40k and I had £20k limit on Virgin Atlantic before closing that down (I wasn't using the VA airmiles enough to justify the hefty annual fee, esp during lockdown)

You need a LOT of discipline for that though - the largest statement balance I've put on Amex was about £20k for some large purchases which were paid off immediately with my annual bonus.  I'm not sure if that affects the limit or not.  That was build up from 2018 and started with a £9k limit.

Thanks - Did you ever have issues with AMEX not being accepted anywhere?

I am sure you know but just in case you don't - you don't have to put the full amount on a card to get the s75 protection 🙂

Many garages will not accept credit card payment for more than the initial deposit.
