Hi hope you don't mind me asking this several days down the line..when you actually got the card did MBNA honour what they offered you? I did theleigibily checker with them yesterday and got offered £11500. I have put exactly the same information in today as a precursor to filling on the actual application so all the same details nothing more nothing less and the amount of creiit offered has gone down to £2000. Canot understand why?

Be aware that the current MBNA (a brand of Lloyds Bank) is different from old MBNA which was a standalone operation owned by various US banks.

Currently with Nationwide on their old gold credit card and been using it for over 12 years always paid off in full every month. They've said the max limit is £10,000 not limited by my credit rating etc just a rule they have that's the maximum they offer any customers.

Fully realise now if I go with another provider I'll have to build up trust but does anyone know of providers have higher limits eventually? Subject to credit rating of course!

Ideally a reward credit card! Always good to make free money!
    Amex
    HSBC
    Barclaycard
    Capital One
    Virgin
    MBNA
    Lloyds
    Virgin

Several of the above will give you 10k+ immediately if you meet their criteria.
